Why is this video so great!!!

Its amazing what music can do. With the music off and its just a plain video of a man walking down a busy street.

However, with music on, the essence of this street (that i know well too) is captured. Sukhumvit is somewhat sinister but overwhelmingly exciting.

As a man, when you walk down there for real, you think anything is possible. It has a dark side. The wink at 1:43 sums it up.

You keep walking but your dark side wishes you had stopped.

This captures the flavour of this side of Bangkok so well - I love the climax at the end of the Soi, which feels liberating, and yet ever-so-slightly darkened by the presence of the elephant .... fantastic - I keep on re-visiting this film xx

I discovered this alley on my last trip to Thailand. Great place for food and beer after bars close. Good band at the country road in too. Thanks for the video sure brought back a lot of memories
