I own a 2003 chevrolet avalanche, and i have a vforce split dual exhaust. i was going to drop the muffler and replace it with a 3" Y pipe but dont want to lose mpg. but i want the noise. would it work.?

@RaWrBaZaR you wouldent lose any MPG .... youll gain some cause the engine is flowing freely alowing to use less force to move it to not have to push out the exhaust fumes....... when i put on my intake and magnaflow exhaust on my avalanche i noticed a very big gain in mpg and power !

dang sounds great. im 16 and have a 2002 white chevy avalanche. after seeing this video i want to do this to my truck but my dad wont let me because he says if i ever go to sell it i wont be able to. its so gay lol

the only reason poeple lose mpg is because the rev itg more and get on it to hear the pipes if you drive normal you can actually see a gain in mpg due to lower back pressure

im going to try and get an inside video shot for you.. no loss in horsepower or mpg at all, if anything a little better hp, and the same mpg. i absolutely love the sound of the no muffler.. its a nice loud throaty sound. go for it!
