I think fallout3 was a major success.The whole graphics arguemnt is kinda dumb because in order to stay on top of todays games market , having great graphics is a must. And the gameplay was obviously going to change from fallout2 because fallout2 was realesed in 1998 eleven years ago. However i can understand why people are angry with bethesda because playing it does feel like oblivion set in the future with guns and the quests can be a bit boring and unimaginative
It does feel slightly like oblivion, I don't think it feels like Oblivion in the future. The fighting system doesn't seem repetitive, and the RTS elements are fun.
Fallout 3 is kinda like Robocop 3. Nothing against anyone who liked this game, as it was probably their first exposure to this interesting and cool universe that the first two games/movies writers thought up of. FO3 didn't really add to it, just displayed both of them.
FO4 has the potential to be good if they focus more on the writing now that they already have an engine.

This is one of the most upseting and insulting moments in this game. WTF? What did they think? That it would be cool to have druids in a magic forest? Magic heart in a magic cave? "Go apply the magic potion"? This game is revolting. I'm sick of it and I'm starting a new game of F1 today. I will play it for 15th or maybe 20th time. I completed F3 after 85 hours of playing and I've seen enough to tell. I'm not coming back to it.

The franchise ended with this mediocre 'sequel' and now it has been taken over by Halo kids. Note: Halo kids is a general term and not exactly meant literally. The violence in the Fallout series was never the main focus of the game, but Betty ummmm Bethesda made it the central highlight. Nothing pleases Halo kids more than watching a 300 yard headshot resulting in head decapitation shown in slow motion. The open-endedness, story and dialogue lacks the depth and complexity of the first two games
Aw, never mind - I guess those 3D graphics can be a bit frightening to some older folk and people stuck with Pentium I PC's "Whoa it looks like its coming out the screen! Jeepers!". Most RPG games are 3D nowadays. I enjoyed 2D and now I enjoy 3D - Bethesda have made two AMAZING games and if thats because they cater to 'Halo kids' then so be it!

Harold was very old, and I think Bethesda did a pretty good job of continuing (or ending) his story. They did a pretty good job of making Harold close to what he was in the First 2 games. At least he preserved some life in the wasteland before he died (You don't have to kill him even).

i think that what bethesda did was cool for harold. it added some drama and gave a good ending to him. i think it was an interesting twist to make him into the source of the only true fertile nature in the wasteland.

More likely a legal problem with the Voice Actors Guild. Bethesda can retain Ron Perlman because he's with SAG, which is slightly less evil.

The franchise ended with this mediocre 'sequel' and now it has been taken over by Halo kids. Note: Halo kids is a general term and not exactly meant literally. The violence in the Fallout series was never the main focus of the game, but Betty ummmm Bethesda made it the central highlight. Nothing pleases Halo kids more than watching a 300 yard headshot resulting in head decapitation shown in slow motion. The open-endedness, story and dialogue lacks the depth and complexity of the first two games

Aw, never mind - I guess those 3D graphics can be a bit frightening to some older folk and people stuck with Pentium I PC's "Whoa it looks like its coming out the screen! Jeepers!". Most RPG games are 3D nowadays. I enjoyed 2D and now I enjoy 3D - Bethesda have made two AMAZING games and if thats because they cater to 'Halo kids' then so be it!

Its amazing that people would consider a game amazing based on graphics alone. Amazing = graphics. Its like saying Shakespeare is boring because he didn't drew pictures, but Spiderman is good because it has pictures. Or that the movie Spartacus is an old forgotten relic because they didn't use CGI back then, and the movie 300 is work of art, because of all the flashy special effects.

Harold was very old, and I think Bethesda did a pretty good job of continuing (or ending) his story. They did a pretty good job of making Harold close to what he was in the First 2 games. At least he preserved some life in the wasteland before he died (You don't have to kill him even).

Uh In Fallout 2, Harold grew a tree on his head... So don't you think that that tree would have kept on growing? How do you even know thats not what Interplay was going to do anyways? You were given three choices, actually: kill him (or burn him, if you so wish), stop his growth, or accelerate said growth thereby accelerating the rejuvenation process of the Capital Wasteland. Instead of centuries, it would merely take decades for green trees to grow. The two latter choices, of course, does not kill him.

i think that what bethesda did was cool for harold. it added some drama and gave a good ending to him. i think it was an interesting twist to make him into the source of the only true fertile nature in the wasteland.
