Graphics and campaign are bad yes, but the multiplayer mechanics are by fat the best out of so many first person shooters. MW3 is copying the battlepoint system with their point streaks, and also including many of the drones that were in Homefront. Perks are balanced, and I cant tell why you are bitching about reload animations.

Call of Duty has seriously brought gaming down quite a bit. Think about it, absolutely NO other game can be a FPS without being compared to Cock of Doody. I liked MW2 and WaW wasn't bad, but Black Ops was pure shit.

In homefront, you make the pace of the game, if you play it like CoD, you won't find any action, CoD promotes camping, you get rewards for getting kills without dying, them maps are incredibly small and have tonnes of interiors. PERFECT for campers.

In homefront, you see the enemies when you spawn, so if an enemy hasn't moved from his spot, you'll know where he is, the maps are large and balanced and you get reward for doing anything that helps your team. you need to move to play homefront.

I understand full and well that this is an "impression" rather than a proper review, but I still take issue with a couple things:

1) I disagree strongly that the visuals in BF3 (or Crysis 2) are in the 'same ballpark' as COD: BLOPS. For me, Treyarch's latest game is a real step backwards visually from what is the accepted standard. MW2 was a far superior-looking game, from textures, to animations, to color, to frame rate. From what I've seen of Homefront, it's not much worse-looking than BLOPS

2) It's difficult to judge any game from 20 minutes of play time. The "cream of the YouTube crop" may be turned off by Homefront, but non-journalistic reviews/impressions I've heard from folks (such as SeaNanners) have been very positive. The theme I keep hearing again and again is: Homefront is FUN. Not the prettiest game, not the most groundbreaking game, but FUN nonetheless. Also from what I gather, the game's take on perks and upgrades is very unique and fresh for the genre.
