  • Excellent video!

  • so freakin cooool!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Bellissimo video! Complimenti sia al proprietario dell'habu che al "cameraman" fvp...

    Sembra volare benissimo questo habu!

Mai viste delle riprese così realistiche su you tube!

  • @ckcilpolpa Graci!

  • im liking that head tracker

  • Caution Wake Turbulence! LOL very nice set up.

  • I really appreceate how hard this actually did, and you did an AMAZING job! Very good FPV flying too, especially since you don't have an OSD!

  • BRILLIANT!!!! 10/10

  • Brilliant stuff dude!

  • @bagagerat Stay tined for more.

  • You need some sort of smoke system to help you stay out of the jet wash

  • @wilgapilot The solution is even easier, esp for visual aqcuisition... aluminized streamers.

  • Awesome! Really nice flying...looks like real planes in formation.

  • @Mass7507 More to come soon, got footage last week.

  • @Mass7507 Got the new video up!

  • Wow! That was amazing! You sir did a splendid job on this video it really felt like the two habus were on their own mission and even cooler with the retracts!!! FANTASTIC JOB!!

  • @SpitfireCrazy22 New vid just posted.

  • @SpitfireCrazy22 BTW the second piece of music is called "mission" as an English title, ironic eh?

  • Crazy

  • @MrKratoos Is that good?

  • I know what FPV is, but I've never really looked into it... how did you get the FPV to change camera angle and "track" the other plane? is that a feature built into the FPV unit?

Awesome, kool, neat, groovy! (yea, I said "groovy")

  • @helipassion We use a gyro based head tracker wired into a Futaba T7C. When the pilot moves his head the camera moves on a pan+tilt mount.

  • Too cool!... well surely, you sell the plans to make that setup!!! Great job! slick, slick slick!

  • Could really stand to be deinterlaced.

  • @daemn42 Yeah you're right. Need to figure out how to de-interlace in Sony Vegas, or do it before I do the editing.

  • Sony Vegas has a worthless deinterlace filter. Need to do it with one of the deinterlace filters in Virtualdub and render to a low compression format to import into Vegas.

  • Just started playing with virtualdub, we'll see how it goes.

  • @daemn42 Thanks for the advice but Virtualdub doesn't play well with h.264/mp4. had to find another way.

  • @ssgtakeo - Generally using Virtualdub requires a pre-conversion step.

You convert the original MP4 or MOV file to AVI format using no compression,

or low compression (like XviD codec at 95% setting) using a free tool like WinFF.

Then you can run the deinterlace filters in Virtualdub against the AVI file

and re-render in the same low compression format, and import that into your normal video editor.

  • @daemn42 Too many steps, I ended up bringing the raw file onto my mac, de-interlacing then dumping it into Sony Vegas Studio. Works like a charm on my latest video, but we'll soon have this problem fixed since we're going to be doing HD local video recording with Pan+Tilt mount.

  • I read in another post that you moved the battery back to offset the retract weight. How far back and could you easily explain how you did it. Thanks

  • Really enjoyed that video, Great off the wing flying!! Love the retracts in action!!

  • @87IROCAL Thanks check out our other ones too.

  • SUPER!!!!!!!!

  • I think you have some of the best videos of EDFs on youtube. Great stuff, with lots of skill. Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks!

  • Would you tell us more about the FPV system you are using in this video. Head tracker equipment etc.? Thanks, I enjoyed the vid.

  • Hey There, I have another FPV Habu formation vid on my channel, take a look at the comments there as I have a comprehensive list.

  • Best ive seen on youtube. Brung a smile to my face. Im 14 and love the hobby. I will dream of the day i get to do something like that!!!

  • Check out the other formation vids we have on here. I also have an external view vid of the retracts going up and down.

  • ive seen em

  • That is simply AWESOME! I wish I could afford an FPV system.

  • =) Start saving! Get a Ham radio license too.

  • great flying guys! just wish we could of watched it from the ground also

  • Wish we had someone FILMING from the ground, unfortunately no one we know is worth a damn with a video camera.

  • Excellent video as always.

    5 Stars ~ Eric

  • Thanks! I liked your review vid. Too bad we didn't live closer so we can collaborate.

  • it also looks allot better, as in formation it looked more scale. Did the rudder help at all.

  • Definitely as did having to similar airplanes, the last time we were using an Hobby-Lobby F-5. Now if my brother can just stay out of my jetwash! LOL. It's ok next time it will be my turn and I will see how I do.

  • its the formation that makes your channel truly unique, 5*. Brilliant flying, what the habu squadron going to do next i wonder. Is the other Habu equipped with fpv.

  • Yes the other Habu has a FPV system on it. 900Mhz fixed orientation. I want to try being the wingman too so I will also put a head tracker on it.
