I've been listening to Imus since 1971, when he was on WNBC 66 NYC. He has always made remarks and gotten away with them. He is funny! I've been listening to Imus since 1971, when he was on WNBC 66 NYC. He has always made remarks and gotten away with them. He is funny! He is obviously sincere in his appologies and should be commended for all the good he has done, including his recovery from alcohol and drugs. I have many good memories of Imus in the 70's. the difference about black comedians and rappers is that they dont go on radio shows calling white people crackers and stuff like that...waht i hear on the news is that they want the same done to the rappers...if imus was a rapper or a comedian then it would be different but he directed them words directly to someone...chappelle uses the word honky but he doesnt say it directly to a certain individual...get wat im saying...get the shit straight

As I understand it, Imus (as in: "I mus' be stupid" I crack me up!) he's been irresponsible with his words before; clearly he should be taken off the air because he's proven, with the same mistake, that he can't control his stupidity.
