It can't be a real sport, because what they're playing isn't real quidditch. They aren't flying, they're running and there is no magical snitch, just someone painted gold running around. Maybe if you muggles can learn to fly and enchant things then it can be NCAA sanctioned, that's like saying spaghetti baseball should be a sport.
