( i know its been 5 months buutt...) ichigo's spiritual pressure was that of captain or above, he just didnt realize it.. and becuase he had to so much pressure it was screwing with her abilities... like she said.. she couldnt believe she couldnt detect a hollow that was that close... becasue his spiritual pressure was PWNing her... ^_^ ichigos spiritual pressure doesnt go up very much... if that explains a little bit... he just learns to control it a bit more.. hehe

So she probably could take it out, but was taken off guard. If not, the Hollow was stronger than one would guess and she bit off more than she could chew.
