J-Smith was a wanna-be profit who convinced poor hopeless men looking for any sort of placement. Why do you think they ended up in Utah? They got shoved around state to state, because no one excepted them. They figure they claim Utah, because who the hell would want to live there? Little did they know that those mountains are fucking beautiful lol but ya Mormons are a cult. Get out of it and free your mind. I don't give a fuck if you still believe in a God just don't follow the Mormon religion.
"As man is God once was. As God is man may become. That is blasphemy."
Do all traditional Christians not realize they believe in this exact teaching? You say Jesus is God albeit yes, he's the God of the Old Testament. As man is, the God of the Old Testament once was, who is Jesus Christ, by gaining a body of flesh and bones. As God is, man may become when they become joint-heirs with Christ, the Son of God.
I agree with this man but at the same time he's not really being productive. Everything he spoke about worthiness and blashpemy is correct. No one is worthy. Not one. Our works don't make us worthy of anything. He closed the ears of the people when he called them a cult although that is true he needs to be seasoned in how to share the gospel. Sometimes the truth hurts however how we deliver the truth needs to be in love. The hook should never change but the bait (delivery) we use may have to.
@KakkoiGuy1: Having been a missionary to Mormons for close to 30 years now, I will tell you that different contexts do require different bait and this context of masses demands preaching to the masses. Jesus, the prophets, & apostles all utilized different baits for different contexts, including the bait given in this video.
Joseph Smith married Helen Mar Kimball at 14, and another girl at 14. Smith was a cult leader in it for power and sex with little girls. This was the foundation of the Mormon cult.
How funny, I remember this day. My family went to the pageant that night, and we sat right behind Mark Shurtleff. He must have been with his ward, cause I just remember him with a bunch of Youth. I also remember that shirt, LOL.
O boy they don't have any idea what they are doing.....
"And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city."-Jesus Christ, Matthew 10:14-15
Mormongurman, I am in the process of leaving the church, the MP sent me home with only 6 months left to my mission for self abuse and watching an r rated movie with a relief society sister. I will pray that Heavenly Father open your eyes Mormonguruman. I am waiting to hear when I can have my bishops court to have my name removed from the church records. I no longer believe the articles of faith, the BofM or JS as true prophet of God. Don't hate me, I don't hate you!!

I think the idea behind the celestial kingdom isn't literally a separate place. I think it's a state of being. A knowledge you've done right. I don't believe that we are separated from one another at all. If you have any documentation that says that the kingdoms are separate from each other, please let me know where it is.
The lower kingdoms are *outside* the presence of God and Christ where they dwell (D&C 76:102-12). Both of these kingdoms are an eternal damnation of sorts, since there is no progression throughout eternity. The worst eternal damnation is a separate place called "outer darkness" where only apostates reside with the Devil and his angels (76:30-49).
Ok thank you. Well, the celestial kingdom comes with baptism and acceptance of Christ. That's really the same thing you believe.
The truly DIFFERENT thing is that you believe that God will send everyone else to an eternal damnation of pain & suffering. We have a great view of how far God's grace goes. It is limitless. The other kindgoms do not have a presence of God, but is much better viewpoint than eternal death and suffering.
LDS's view of outer darkness (o.d.) is close to what the Bible teaches about the end of all unbelievers. The LDS view is that trillions of God's spirit children will receive not just separation, but the torments of o.d. So "limitless" is a bit of a stretch. The Bible's God saves by grace through faith not of works so that we can't boast (Eph. 2:8-9). The LDS God gives grace to most of His kids in keeping them out of o.d... whether they believe or not. All His kids must work to be with Him.
Ok, limitless is not accurate, but still a much more graceful viewpoint, much more, than most peoples view of how far it goes...true?
God judges everyone. Even the saved am I right? Why would he judge the saved? For what purpose?
All they have to do is get baptized, just like most Christians believe. I assume you believe the same. All you need to do to inherit the Celestial kingdom is to be baptized? That is all the "work" you need. Do you agree with this statement?
It's only grace for what's intended. For LDS, it's simply for most of God's kids inheriting something other than outer darkness. But for actually living with God, it's not graceful at all and very few inherit it. For the Bible, true, very few inherit this, but those who do simply receive it by grace alone (Rom. 11:6). God judges everyone, but believers don't have to worry about whether they'll make it or not. They have passed from death or condemnation to life (Jn. 3:17-8 & 5:24). Continued...
Believers are judged for the rewards or lack of rewards, but their assurance for living with God is simply in Christ's work alone paying the debt on the cross. This is the peace believers have (Rom. 5:1). Believing is the essence of having salvation, not baptism. Baptism naturally follows, but it's not a necessity since there are instances of salvation without baptism (e.g., thief on the cross and Gentiles in Acts 10:44-8). Believing isn't a work but an inward act of reception producing works.
Right, so we are judge for these rewards by...our works. (if you want to call them rewards, sound like a lot of responsibility you are about to inherit...I joke.)
As far as getting baptized, I am sure most would agree there are circumstances where baptisim is not possible and God is, of course, wise enough to understand the difference of someone who cannot and someone who can make the public show of faith. Pretty much splitting hairs.
I'm against religion getting involved in politics and I am for religious freedom. If Mormons want to marry multiple women, let them. AS LONG AS ABUSES ARE REPORTED AND WOMEN RETAIN THEIR RIGHTS AND ARE MADE AWARE OF IT.

Matt. 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
What of your own condemnation?

You no longer believe, because you want to do all those things that the church frowns on as being immoral?
