It's not easy for the bus driver to know how deep the flood is. The police / SCDF and PUB should have a flood response unit deployed in flooded areas to direct traffic away. If they had, there would have been far fewer instances of cars drowned by floods.

Looks more like the inlet manifold kena choked by water rather than a traction problem. Your engine still runs even when you're on neutral and stationary and the exhaust is an indication of insufficient oxygen for combustion.

Water go inside the engine lor, usually white smoke means got water.. If me then I rev it hard for a while see still got white smoke a not, if still have then have to call it a day ler.

@thompsonong That is what happened to me. I could not do nothing but to stand there and watch. I was being dismissed halfway on-board my bus journey due to road closure 100 meters away from the right hand side of this video clip.
