The DC version is better that the theatrical version, but the theatrical cut is still needed for the people that haven't seen it. I can't wait to see the final cut from Ridley Scott

I think Ridley Scott started the whole big trend of 'Dirrctor's Cut' versions of films and it still persist today.

I had the voice over version of BR on vidio cassette but gave it away...

I liked the director's cut because it didn't spell out everything like the original with the voice over did. It doesn't kill me to work a little bit at understanding what's going on in a film. A little mystery, a little guess work, and a little bit of one's own input can make watching a movie more enjoyable.

I'm not a big fan of the director's cut ,but the trailer is much better than the crude 1982 version ,at least this trailer has all of the trademarks that made Blade Runner memorable .

So in other words ,original Blade runner movie -good ,original trailer -bad

Director's cut -bad ..director's cut tralier -good .

To fans of the film, we have seen the theatrical version so many times the narrative is pointless. But, to someone who has never seen the film before, no narrative leaves too much out of the films characters. I have shown this film to many people for the first time and they just didnt really get it until watching the narrative version. Trust me, I have watched the film over 100 times in my lifetime, the narrative is great for the first time viewer.

I've only ever seen the DC, and I didn't have any trouble following it and totally loving it without the narration. Roll on the Final Cut!

the voice over is so unnecessary... this is why I love the director's cut. Wow another new version? Maybe this is the one where they will clear up the idea that Harrison Ford's character is also a replicant. That scene with the unicorn dream hints at this. Looking forward to this!

Its much better than the originaly released one. At least they cut the voice over. Which do you think is the best version? I have seen the original, directors cut and the workprint but never the criterion laserdisk version and my fav is the directors cut. There is a new final cut version being released next year which should be good.
