Got these as my first wheel and he is 100% right! If you do a long slide you will flat spot these sooooo easy. I did a 18 - 24 foot slide at about 30mph the biggest spot on earth was on my wheel afterwards. Regardless I think they are great wheels to learn on!
Will I slide out while carving with the yellows? And I can slide a little with 78a sector nine nineballs, how big of a difference will the orange Stims be?
@Fronlax Depends on how tech your downhill is/how much grip you need. I enjoy stims for downhilling if I'm able to slide/if traction isn't priority #1. That said, a race wheel with sharp lips will generally perform better for DH, such as 4prez/InHeats
when you talk about it not being as free and slippery, i kind of like that about them. To be honest I like my 86a stims better than my 81a flashbacks. you feel more locked in sliding with the stims and you can just push the slide out and extend it forever without icing out. with the flashbacks they tend to ice out if you have your weight back just a bit too much.
@Burzum9666owns if you have the space for durians then i would just get the durians because you have more thane. but the stims have a cleaner slide then the durians.
finally , someone who says that they aren't so good as people think ,,
i thought i was the onely one :p

punkiassjunki 9 months ago
@punkiassjunki If you have the money, this or Orangatang Durians 86a. Otherwise Abec 11 flashbacks if you aren't doing downhill.
LongboardReviews 9 months ago
@cstein03 if you going to get flashbacks get 81a they are a much more buttery slide IMO :) flashbacks are amazing !
