  • this helped sooooo much! I still think i prefer a curling iron though

  • youu make me wna curl my hair :)

  • don't worry it isn't your hair it's the iron, I have the same one and it's not a very good iron. if you get a higher grade iron like I did it is easier, faster, and does stay longer

  • yea i have short hair now and it still doesnt work, but i do have thick hair and ive tryed all different straigtners and it doesnt work. But it doesnt bother me because i use curling irons and i get curls that look better and stay for days, so people should learn how to use those right because you can do alll types of curls with a curling iron.

  • i always turned the flat iron twice, but its nice to know that turning once works too. will definitely try it out next time

  • wow it really works thank u

  • Thank you so much.

I use the chi and that happens to me a lot.

    Thanks for the tutorial <3

  • i have the same problem and it gets really anoying! This video really helps

    Thanks!! :)

  • 0mg.. Thanks This Really Works ^_^

    And Your So Pretty =]

  • the flat iron only works on my left side, i think its because i have layered hair. am i right?

  • probably cause youre right handed

and your left hand isnt as good as it

  • ang cute mo tlga ate.. inggit aq sa buhok muh.. hehe... shempre girl din aq ... kya... medyo naiinggit aq,, hehehe... keep it up ate!

  • ENGLISH PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • here's a little trick i've invented for myself while watching your vid...

you really dont need to curl every strand of hair actually... just the 'outer hair'

i really dont know how to call it... uhmm maybe? the first layer of your hair.. coz you can make illusions with curls from the first layer... if you're still not satisfied you can curl the ends.. you can avoid consuming time. i also had my hair curled. :)

still.. you're video is great! very helpful. :))

  • I've found that the flat iron works better on short hair rather than long hair cause you have less to manage. I have short hair and my sister has long. it never works for her but it works great for me! good video by the way!

  • it worked! tnx!

  • i just wanted to know what brand of flat iron she is useing and what kind of treatment she put i her hair i dnt have i sound card so i cant jear what she is saying

  • she said it was a leave in conditioner. it looks like pantene. and the iron, it says in the side bar that she has a vidal sassoon imported from china or honk kong.

  • it's a vidal sassoon straightener.

  • i have i chi i had just bought but i dont know who to use it im tying to learn how to crul my hair with it n i just cant seem to find a sit that can help me with my problem so does any one have any advice

  • omg....thank u sooo much!! after watching all these videos on youtube i could never got it right and i got so frustrated!! ur video really helped...thank u!!

  • what brand is flat iron?

  • funny face at 4:29 hahaha!! love you hair

  • I use that same exact straightener for my bangs! (It hasn't got enough power to straighten my curly mess of hair!)

  • i love your accent! and Great Hair!!!!

  • your flat iron is so small, thats why it takes you long to curl it. you are very pretty though =)

  • omg this video helped heaps. :D all the other videos i watched from different people never worked but ur tips worked on my hair perfectly.

    (:

  • i have the same flat iron! :D

    thanks for the tips :)

  • i love your voice

  • her voice is so cute.

    luve it.

  • I have *very* thick hair and this video helped a lot, but for the sprays I'm not quite sure what to get... :( I'm borrowing my friend's right now and I want to buy my own but how do I know which one is a good brand?

  • Any brand will do, really. Just get one that will protect your hair from the heat. I get mine from the salon. It's a clear serum, that I through my hair while it's still wet. Not only does it keep my hair from getting fried, but it makes it feel -really- soft, and smell really nice too. Just go to your local salon and ask them. I find that usually the stuff you put in your hair when it's still wet is the best. It works -with- the heat, rather than just sitting on top.

  • omgeeee i have the same flat iron like her..

  • i like it shes pretty

  • 4:36 bahahahaha ur like bouncing it ! hehe

  • i think curling hair with a flat iron is so much easier and it comes out nicer lol

  • LOL.. u werelike bouncing ur hair boing boing =] lol .. i had my hair curly before but not using a flat iron i used a curling iron =] so mines were really curly when i ironed my hair =] it came out pretty good

  • what type of flat iron do you have, the one in this video?

  • i agree, and my hair is suer thin, i fllowed ALL of you tips, nothings working!!!! UHHHH

  • i straighten my hair almost every day. and some times i try to curl it! but my hair is going thin What shall i do?! and i have sort hair so is it the same principal curling your hair?!

  • I have the same problem. Except, i've always used this method, and curling my hair isn't the issue. It's getting it to stay. One side will curl really well, then the other will not. Any tips?

  • try lightly spraying your hair strand with hair spray before curling it :)

  • hii :-)) i have the same problemm but tht doesnt work for me either :( !

  • 9:50

lol you kinda look like the girl on your shirt

    except not hat haha

  • FINALLY(:

This way actually curls my hair.

  • that helped so much thank you!!

  • thanxx it works great

  • Wow, the first timw when i managed to curl my hair with straightener.

Thank you, thank you, thank you very much :* :*

  • omg you are a goddess :O i luv your hair!!

  • Your hair is so pretty.

    I'm jealous. =P

  • i tried this while watching it,

it's the first time it worked!! thanks so much for making this!! :)

  • hahaha, omg! that's exactly wut my hair does. it does not curl!!! my hair is both thick and coarse... :(

  • OMGEEEE!!!! I was watching this while doing it and IT WORKS thanks!

  • if you find this comment offensive then I'll aplogise first. You look better with partially hair up, it's brighten your face

  • I had the same flat iron but replaced it with a Chi. I found it a little harder to work with because it's smaller. Anyway, your hair looks great curly!

  • Thank you so much for this. Ive been trying to flat iron my hair in curls all night and I agree: LIES LIES LIES.

  • maybe its because thats a really small straightner, i dunno

  • i agree

  • yeah, my friend has that one and she said it was only 20 bucks! i thought that was cool, but when i used it, meh

  • my straightener was so expensive, and soposably it was meant for curling, but yeah it sucks.

  • sorry missmarissa14 i was going to reply and i accidently clicked spam but this was what my comment was going to say

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

she gets her hair permed like a special gel (almost like a dye with no colour) and then

    it makes her wavy

  • wow i didnt think it would work but ur hair looks really pretty <3

  • ur voice is soooow cuteh!

  • thanks!Lol,exactly what happened to me.

  • how do you get your hair wavy like it is in the hook? its so pretty!

  • THANKS SOOO MUCH!!

    and ur really pretty

  • i have the same flat iron as her and it works real good

  • omg ur soo pretty and anawesome hair expert :) I love ur hair!!!

  • Could you please give some more details about your flat iron? Looks good =]

    + so does your hair

  • It's Vidal Sassoon. I forgot the model number, but I searched it up before and I found nothing about it. It's weird. All I can say is it was packaged in Asia (the box was labeled in Chinese). My mom bought it in the Philippines for around $60.

  • omj in america (i found mine @ rite aid) it was $19.99......(pls reply hehehe)

  • it works when you turn it u hold on to the strand and if you want to have bouncier curls when u get to the end you want to roll it up like curling it with a curler

  • me too.

  • i know dat happenz to me 2

  • In the beginning that happens to me too. I'll stick with my curling iron.

  • Thank you SO much! I have really thick, straight, stubborn hair and I never had any idea that you could curl it with a straightener! It works so much better than a curling iron! Thank you for the great tips, I'm so excited to curl my hair now.

  • wow i was looking threw all these using a flat iron to curl hair videos, and this one is defanatly the most helpful, thanks

  • this vid is pretty helpful but i have another question. i was curling my hair just like you and everything was looking so glamorous and stuff... but i went outside and my beautiful curls got back to normal! :( I sprayed it I even try to add some hair styling thing but the effect was the same. even if i curl my hair with curler the curls stay ok for bout 20 minutes. what to do!? ;__;

  • That happens to me too, especially when it's humid outside. You can try curling your hair with rollers overnight. :) Start with damp hair and sleep with the rollers on. The next day, style the curls the way you like it. I have a tutorial on that, so feel free check it out. :D

  • How is she doing it wrong? Do you not see an obvious curl?! It's not WRONG, it's HER way of doing it, and I'm going to try it right now! =)

    PS - You're too cute!

    - Jayne =)

  • j'ai deja des cheveux bouclé mais j'aime cette tknike

  • Will these teqniques work for shorter and layered hair a s well? Coz your hair seems long and straight, will it work for mine too?

  • Yup! I have short hair now, and I still use the same technique. :)

  • thanks ; great tips

i always find curling my hair with a lfat iron so difficult; this might help me

  • thank you! this helped me so much!

  • Good video ! but to others it is easy .

  • what are you spraying your hair with?

    you didn't say..

  • Fashion 21 hairspray. :)

  • hey thanks for these tips

i agree with the things you said about corse hair!

& i'm going to try your tips

    thanks!

  • Vidal Sassoon is not a professional or quality iron. It can fry and ruin your hair instead of curl and straighten it, especially with your type of hair. It is high damaging heat. Damaged, frizzy hair doesn't want to curl that well at all.Buy at the very LEAST a CHI at Target.

  • Actually, brands considered "drugstore" are considered high-end here in Asia. I honestly can't judge my mom's flat iron. Like I said, it runs on 220V and the model number doesn't exist in US sites. I doubt it was manufactured in the States. I'm getting myself a new flat iron when I come back anyway. ^^;;

  • Yeah, I've seen that. Exact same look, but different brand. It's so weird!

  • do ou wear makeup cuz yur look is very natural and i like it.

  • I do in some videos, but it's only light make-up. In other videos, I'm not wearing anything at all. :P

  • What flat iron do u have?

  • The flat iron I'm using in this video belongs to my mom. I left mine in the States. :P It says Vidal Sassoon, but I'm not sure if the model is sold in the US, because it runs on 220V and I couldn't search it up online. She got it here in the Philippines for about $60.

  • thanks for your tips....very helpfull...

  • you remind me of Frenchie, from Grease... :P thanks for the video

  • so what if my hair is silky, thin, with the same problem you have?

    its healthy too. sigh!

  • Is it coarse? If you have fine hair, you should turn the heat on a lower setting. A high setting might just make it frizz instead. If it won't curl still, run the iron more slowly. It's all about letting the heat penetrate your hair. :)

  • thanks! you're really pretty! i have a question tho...if your hair steams is it ok? because whenever i have my straightener on my hair for that long it starts steaming and smells funny. lol so is that ok as long as you use heat protectant?

  • It should be okay. Cheap straighteners tend to smell funny after a while, although I wouldn't recommend cheap straighteners in the first place. Just make sure you use a heat protectant and let it completely dry before use.

  • nice..now i dn't have to buy a curler...YEY ME!!!..i mean YOU!..YEY YOU!!

    lolz..salamat

  • ahahaa i have the same striaghner

    i have difficualty

    curlingg it thouggh.

i try buhh wid yur tips :)

    im sure it will work

    ! & i lovee yur hairr.

& i have trouble curing it

the iron is soo hot, it burns. :(

  • What did you use on your lips??

  • L'Oreal Glam Shine in Baby Juice. :D

  • heyyy thanx a lot it really worked!! u jus saved me from buying a whole load of curling products ^^ tank you, bdw wat did u spray your hair with at the end?

  • Fashion 21 hairspray. :)

  • Aww, i had the same problem too!

& I have the same straightener XD

    thankks! & you're soo pretty!

  • You're welcome! And thanks! LOL

  • what do u recommend for very dry hair? I have dry hair esp. after I either airdry it or blow dry my hair. I put on dry hair cream but it just makes my hair look oily.

  • How often do you shampoo your hair and how much do you put? You might be using too much. You should also deep condition once a week. Examine your general hair care routine, and if you're putting anything harsh on your hair, cut it down. :D

  • I shampoo my hair about twice a week. I put a lot of shampoo and conditioner. I should cut down on it and see if my hair still becomes dry. Thanks for ur tip =D

OR it can be genetics b/c my mom's hair is dry too.

  • I think you can just cut down on the shampoo and never apply it on the ends of your hair. I used to do that and it was a disaster. LOL

  • can you pleease do a video on how to straighten hair right after showering? i'm confused on how people straighten their hair right after blowdrying their hair, doesn't it do enough damage? some girls don't even get split ends O_O

  • It is damaging, it's probably just not obvious. :P But of course, you can't iron your hair wet. I actually just use an electric fan instead of a blowdryer. XD

  • i got hard time doing the back of my hair lols.

    ;o guess i just need so pratice:D

    tyyy :D

  • Try sectioning it and then bringing it forward, so you can see better. :D

  • this helped out a WHOLE LOT! thanks!!

  • You're welcome! :D

  • lol i was trying to figure out how to curl ur hair with a flat iron cause.. ive never seen it done b4 xD and that helped o_o

    ima try that x]

  • Good luck! :D

  • i love it!

i like the picture at the end also.....

    tnx 4 the tips!

    they were helpful!

    (^o^)

  • You're welcome! Glad you liked them. <3

  • They aren't lies, it's either your flat iron or you just need practice

  • Oh no, it's really my hair. I tried it with a costly iron too. Still the same problem. :(

  • o i c i c =/

    sry to hear that..

well you still get awesome curls with a curling iron (=

  • Thanks. :D

You're right though, it does take practice~

  • thankyou for the tips

  • You're welcome! :D

  • Well it looks like your using a large section of strand, so try using smaller piece and if your hair is coarse, try running the iron one through your hair to warm it up and then curl it. So you can get better results.

  • Yeah, that's what my video is all about. :D

  • LOL, yeah I realized that after I watched the entire thing. I just commented on the first minute or of the tutorial that you were grabbing a large piece.

  • Thanks for the video too =)

  • You're welcome! <3

  • I tried to curl my hair with the straightener but it just turned out straight. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?!

It looks easy on the youtube video but when I do it myself, I guess it takes practice.

Also, do u happen to know where to buy the gloves? I got burned my finger using the straightener. I can't find the gloves anywhere.

  • Try taking a smaller section then running the iron through more slowly. :)

You can just use an ordinary glove made of cloth. Just to protect your hand. :P

  • Its because you're using a really cheap hair straightener. If you've noticed from other tutorials they have sedu or chi. I can honestly say, it's easier and faster ... if you have a good straightener haha. Cheap ones make it limp.

  • Nah, my hair's just really stubborn. :( I have the same problem with curling irons and blowdryers. I'm using a pretty good iron. :)

  • I love your videos! A huge coincedence! Abot an hour ago I uploaded a video comparing the curls from a flat iron and curling tongs. Well done :)

  • Ooh, I'll check it out. :D

  • Lol yeah its hard, I burnt my neck last week trying to do it. I will follow your steps and tell you how it goes. Lol thank you so much :)

  • Good luck! :)
