lemme break it down for ya'll bout how we roll in texas aight. Aight guys we fish with live bait, and no not bluegill or gold fish bc those baits don't get me wrong are damn good at times.. but in the heat of the day i want you to throw the biggest fuckin bait you can catch at them. so i'm sayin like a 3-6 lb live sucker. heh.. you guys are dumb and not the guys that made the vid just the ones commenting. and fyi yella cats are the best eating catfish alive sooooo.. booyah i'm out.

my biggest is a 35 lb flathead caught on a live warmouth on bottom at a paylake. i have the best luck with warmouth bluegill chub and live bullhead for flathead

no offense but chicken liver isnt the way to get the monsters lol your best bets for monsters are chubs, shiners, suckers, shad, sunfish, or any other small baitfish and you should use them whole live or dead or use big cut pieces and it helps to have a nice penn reel and a stout rod to haul em in

1 I haven't killed a flathead in the last 25 years.

2 Flathead rarely get over 20 years old.

Scientific data (otolith aging) shows that

lifespan rarely exceeds 20 years in flathead.

3 You are pretty loose with the word "loser"

Fairly large live bait. Big cats (over 20lbs and up) will seldom hit chicken livers, shrimp, and such. There are exceptions to this. In Lake Erie use 6-8 inch (or larger) suckers, bluegill, shad, sheephead...etc. Whatever big bait fish you can get. Make sure they are lively. And use patience...
