@ChReNiC So it would seem, it would not be appealing if it was 'Sega All-Stars' add the SONIC and then you got little kids running to the franchise in hopes of seeing their Blue hero. Racing belongs to little fat plumbers, not hedgehogs who were based off sports cars in the first place. Don't get me wrong, Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing was OK, but it wasn't the 'OMFG SONIC'S BACK' feeling. Mario started his 3D reign in Super Mario 64, all these years later and the game remains original.

The Biolizard can use chaos control though. It used it to teleport outside and glob onto the colony. I'd guess either it's setient or at least Gerald programmed it to destroy the Earth before he was captured. In his diary, I get the feeling Gerald was talking about Shadow the hedgehog, but maybe not.

Sonic Adventure 3 should have the return of Metal Sonic in it, not like in Sonic Heroes, but a major role in the game as the villian. Maybe even Chaos, or ALL THREE. Chaos fuses with Metal Sonic to create a major bad guy, then at the end they fuse with the 7 Emeralds and the Master Emerald and become a mega super form final boss. But that's only wishful thinking.

@shadowmayrio Sonic Adventure 3 should definitely go back to Sonic vs Metal Sonic. Sonic's side should revolve around Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, Metal Sonic's should feature Eggman, and a Emerl (Please bring him back!) with the same general gameplay mechanics Adventure 2 had.

As a bonus, neutral side. Shadow, Omega, and Rouge could have their own side-plot.

Basically

Race: Sonic, Metal Sonic, and Shadow.

Battle: Tails, Eggman, and Omega,

Emerald Hunt: Knuckles, Rouge, and Emerl.

@7chopsticks7 Sorry to burst your bubble, but Sonic Unleashed, but Sonic Unleashed is Sonic Adventure 3. The game's name was originally "Sonic World Adventure", but producers decided to change the title for reasons(No idea why.). Though in Japan, the game's name remained as Sonic World Adventure.

I would guess that Biolizard was the first test that Gerald did with Black Doom's DNA, because Biolizard resembles the black aliens. Not to mention he makes the same screaming noise as Devil Doom...

Anyway, he probably made Shadow in the form of a hedgehog so he could use the Chaos Emeralds. The emerald shrine inside Angel Island has those pictures of a hedgehog using a super form (which would later be Sonic). Gerald intended for his final creation to use the emeralds against Black doom.

@Jon166 Actually some lizards have the habilitie to regenerate some parts of it's body. Gerard's own initial propose of "The Ultimate Life Form" project was to find a cure for Maria's illness, throught regeneration, therefore lizards being his first experiments.

Now, whether this regeneration applies to Shadow it's unknown, I heard he survive when falling from the Ark but seems to die everytime you throw it off a cliff elsewhere =p

I have a theory:

Since he was just a prototype, he needed a life support system. But even the life support wasn't perfect. It could run on oxygen, but it didn't circulate it efficiently enough to keep the Biolizard alive. So it had to pause during the fight to inhale and manually power the life support. Hence the opportunity to attack him.

You're pretty close.

The Biolizard was Professor Gerald's first attempt at the ultimate lifeform. Unfortunately his experiment failed and the Biolizard could not live without the life support system. The constant rotating and the usage of dark energy balls put strain on the life support system and forced the Biolizard to let it recharge. Also when Shadow defeated the Biolizard and he/she/it turned into Finalhazard, the bruise where the life support system had been attached was extremely weak.
