555 Mini Griptilian is one of my favorite knives ever. Benchmade makes great stuff. This is the first I've seen of a video of the manufacturing plant; it was cool to see!

I used to constantly have to put my own edge onto factory knives I got from Benchmade, Spyderco, Gerber, Buck and others because frankly, the factory edges sucked. But--at least from Benchmade and Spyderco--in the last few years something has been done and the factory edges are now as sharp as I could want. :-)

Sometimes these slip by, but you can rest assured that we also don't find it acceptable. Well , I don't think every knives BM made were really tested sharpness wise... I received a pretty dull D2 710 some days ago, while my 913s really was shaving sharp.. pretty disapointing if you ask me.

I am 16 and ive been collecting knifes for a while now... 5 or 6 years nd i got my first benchmade about 3 years ago (dejavoo). It hasnt lost a bit of edge since then. I now also have the Osborne fixed presidio (extremely solid) and the snody instigator which is a nice small fixed blade knife to have. Now I only buying benchmade because they surpass all in quality.

i just got my first benchmade recently, a model 805! I've always wanted the "legendary" 806 but this does nicely :)

i like thumbstuds better anyways. You should really bring back a lot of those discontinued models! Why did you even discontinue them to begin with? We all loved them :(

ok benchmade, why dont you have a high grade griptilian? the $55 dollar griptilian is great but what about a $135 version with full titanium liners and G10 textured scales like the commander? i own 2 commanders and a griptilian and have often wondered why the griptilian dosent get a higher grade cousin? the griptilian is about the best knife design for working people ever made.

Benchmade did upgrade the grip with the ritter grip, replacing the 154Cm blade with CPMS30V and a slightly different blade design...But never changed the handles...

@jedirifleman Check out Tuffthumbz channel he is now making Griptillian scales in G-10 and are like fully custom! Wilkins takes forever to get and are not fully custom...
