I like the original gigan more than the final wars gigan(nothing beats the classic..well...sometimes I think that the new one is kickass but still)but this one is way to fat and exaggerated...so I would get the movie version if I was to put it with the full collection because I usually preffer the movie vers. but this one is still good...don't like how small the wings are though...

Actually, no, the Showa Gigan DOES have a spikey object at the end of his tail. You just have to pay close attention when you watch the movie.

@Deadzilla Actually, Deadzilla, you were right before, he had a tail spike in Godzilla vs. Gigan(1972) When he and Ghidorah were flying around that godzilla tower before they were given orders to attack, if you pause during that scene, you'll see a tail spike. So, I'm crediting you for being right before everyone started saying it was only in final wars.

I think that maybe the reason Bandai Creation didn't put a spike on Gigan's tail is because while the Bandai one has the spike, it's small and gold-colored, so it's not very noticeable. But this is still a good figure from Bandai Creation. I have it and I like the detail and it's 95% accurate :D

Judging from the face, I think the Bandai Creations Gigan is based off of the Godzilla vs Megalon version, and the Japanese Bandai version is based off the Godzilla vs Gigan version.

the tail spike, smaller wing tips and even more pronounced tips on the belly saw are to perhaps make it safer for young children. Toy safety precautions influence production models in America. I don't know about other countries.
