@ascotsmaninusa I don't think it's a Davida being it has snaps for a visor and Davida's don't. I"m curious what helmet it is as well, the Davida speedster is the helmet I want but its not DOT :( and the Jet is way to bulky, look like a mushroom

@whyiseverynametaken3 You can order Davida helmets with or without snaps. I agree though, it doesn't look like Davida, possibly Biltwell? And yes the jet does make you look like a mushroom head, I have one & it drives me mad. I wish someone would bring out a good low profile open face helmet.

If I had $10k I would have a hard time deciding between the 48 and the XR1200.

The only thing I dont like about the 48 is the small tank. Wouldnt the bike look just as cool with a 3.4 gallon tank?

The 48 is my new favorite model from you guys yet! I love how the sportys are looking more like the custom bobbers and rat bikes, theyre almost like the bikes from the 60's, something James Dean wouldve rode. Keep up the awesome work

I own a Heritage. My wife owned a 1200 Sportster. I used to ride that Sportster and enjoyed how that baby would lay into the turns. It was like flying. Then I jumped on my Heritage and tried the same thing. A whole lotta scrapin' goin' on!  Sporties are flat fun. But I DO agree that I wouldn't last for the long haul on one.

OK, with all due respect, I would just like to point out that, IMHO, this entry-level bike is a tad on the pricey side. We want to attract younger bikers right? The geezer-glide stereotype of Harley riders hurts the MoCo, and affects us all. I implore H-D to figure out a way to make a cheaper, way-cool entry-level bike for the "kids!"

What's risky duane, is stagnating when you're company has has been putting out the same boring product since the eighties. Buell is the only interesting thing they were doing. Did you ever ride a Harley when they were unacceptable or just when you got your EVO and hello kitty tattoo to show the guys at the country club how bad you were?

The way I see it, Harley got greedy with all the new mid-life crisis sales since the evo's. Then they realized they wouldn't be able to maintain these record numbers/market crashed so they dumped Buell and started marketing to well, me. Nightster, Iron 883, forty-eight.
