The digestive system doesn't start in the mouth, it starts in the brain. When you see the food, the brain sends signals to salivary glands to start secreting salivary amylase.
Digestion begins when the foods ingredients are being put together.
Because the mind already knows the flavor of each ingredient which is why they are the desired pattern in order to bring a meal to life. I would rather have salt from the himalayan region than salt from the dead sea. What I mean by that is I would rather have salt from a strong "body" of earths form than from a dead body in the ground. And salt is formed within the stages of decay. Take it or leave it. Don't be critical.
