Is there a way to know of the flight log to see who actually flew ( crew member) on THIS very helicopter during Vietnam? Trying to find out info for my husband and his siblings. Between 1964-1971. Looking for a Baker, James A. We just lost him 3yrs. ago this Jan. Would love to see this helicopter for ourselves if it is his " outlaw".
My brother and sister sent me this link and we all think our dad may have flown as crew chief on this aircraft durinv Viet Nam. My brother has dad's zippo and he says that after the date on the engraving it says OL10, which seems to be this one's tail number. I also have a pin with the skull symbol and "outlaws" on the nose of the helo. Thanks for this and I'm now planning a trip to see it for my family.
Great to see this fly. It was getting worked on when I was at the museum in early June 2009. But did see the their UH-1B fly, Pat, Shayne and volunteers do a great job!!
I actually flew in this very helicopter in Vietnam. It was stationed in Vinh Long Vietnam with the 175th Assault Helicopter Company, 214th Avaition Battalion. It would be a dream come true if I could ever fly in her again!! Welcome Home to all my Outlaw brothers, and fond memories of those we left behind!
Good to know there is still a operational huey in my state.
