The greatest sport on earth! I saw him in Nuevo Laredo about six years ago. I never knew a horse could run sideways like a crab and dodge a equally magnificent bull. It was the greatest event I ever saw and I highly recommend that any one see a very good bull fight Spanish style or Portuguese Rejoneadores - your will love it and even the PETA fags will convert.

@dmsantiagog They actually do die from blood loss in slaughter. The bolt or electro shock is to make them immobile and unconscious, after which they are cut and the blood drained. You are, however, correct that nothing is injected, at least as far as I know. I can't comment on the hooks, as I know nothing about bull fighting. I will say, these horses are gorgeous. I'm guessing they are PRE horses?

@iamthedeadonewalking Yes PRE or PSL, and the shock does kill their brains, and of course they have to be bled to make the meat correct for consumption. As for the hooks look for "El triunfo de insensato " in youtube you can see one of the many that get to go home. Nothing is black or white, and before making the decision whether you like or dislike something you need to know about it to make an educated decision. If after knowing you don't like it I'll respect any comments about it.

I've already converted 3 anti-taurins (anti bullfighters?) of my friends and now we go every season to the bullring! Check out the french Castella, and also Diego Ventura, the mexican El Payo is also lately very good, i do respect anti-tauins but they are generally very close-minded. Pablo Hermoso is my personal favourite.

So, at the end what is worse, i would rather die fighting and live a free life than live a captive life with shit to my knees and die fast.

@m16chick I agree but with VERY sharp points on the stirrups (one on each corner) these horse have a little more incentive to spin than reiners. Still, they would never be able to perform like that without the training.

The training of this horse takes years. Read "The Hands of Cantu" by Tom Lea to see how humane is the Spanish way. It puts today's dressage to shame.
