The music was composed by the Peruvian composer Daniel Alomía Robles in 1913 (legally registered in 1933) and the letter, later, by Julio de La Paz (pseudonym of Julio Baudouin). In Peru it was declared as Cultural heritage of the Nation of the Incas in 2004. It used to be thought to belong to Paul Simon for having made a cover with this wonderful melody:)

the condor pasa is played in the "Inti Raymi " ceremony, in the Peruvians Andes, Yma sumac (peruvian) sang this a long time ago in every world. this song doesnt have lirycs, in the 60's "Daniel Alomía Robles" (peruvian again) compose the lirycs and include in the "zarzuela homónima" after a long time Simon and Garfunkel play this song and turn very much popular.
