  • Steady B should have called this group and album Robbin Endless Bank!!!!! Yaaaahahahahaha!

  • Steady B, and Cool C each got what they deserved for their actions....Life in prison, and sadly all over money!

  • There's much better solutions to a buried rap career! Either take the money you made from rap and go back to school, or plain and simply get a fucking job! Steady and Cool C were both washed up has-beens by 1992-93 when this CEB record dropped! Hell they barely had any hits, what about 2 or 3 each? There's no excuse for people who are down on their luck to rob other people who actually work for their shit, nor take the life of a mother of 2! If your washed up and wack now, GET A FUCKING JOB!!!

  • when was this interview done?

  • this nigga was straight real. not like these rappers for the past 10+ years talking bout they real!

  • Yall need to fall back for real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He shouldn't have made that diss track about ll cool j in '85. That was karma.

  • awww thats all i can say

  • It's strange but looking into his eyes, and hearing him talk, I can just about see his future laid out for him. I wish I could have seen it back then and warned him.

  • I kinda feel sorry 4 him aint nobody come 2 see it itz kinda sad also nw he in prison

  • @Mzblu3b3rry People not going to rap show has always been part of the rap game I been to shows where people do not even know the group was in town> I saw Notorious Big in Lima OH and the Ghetto Boys and both show had less than 200 people I saw NWA at a concert in Salinas CA once again less than 200 people ,it happens.

  • Dang y everybody goin hard? calm down

  • probably one of his last interviews

  • this is just sad, no wonder dude got ill and went all out.

  • 1st of all i grew up with jeezy that's a real nigga, i'm 9 yrs older than him , i grew up on hip-hop even tho i'm from the south. wbls chuck chill out , red alert 1988 i knew about real hip hop before you player , i was on the radio in atlanta. don't hate wayne & jezzy you put yo shit out , & change the game player

  • Counting Empty Balance... The music and showbiz industry is ruthless, especially towards black folks. One second your a star, next thing you know, you're yesterdays news and there's no guarantee you'll even earn any real money. Which exactly where Steady B and Cool C ended up. As Marley Marl said, the MC lifestyle requires a lot of money to maintain an image of glamour. Your royalties won't last long subsidising that and your options dwindle as the cash beings to fade. They chose crime...

  • hey black people lets stop internalizing our black self hatred .......start loving our culture instead of loving all these materal things and other forms of bullshit..or we could all end up like them ....glamorus life....................

  • Steady B yo my nigga do your thing son. I remember you go album for album with RunDMC on Jive before they sold out to Britney son. Do your thing son.

  • Don't worry, mostly stupid fake ass South Rappers like Lil Wayne, Plies, Wacka Flocka, Gucci Mane is gonna end up in prison soon. Hip Hop been dead anyway eh.

  • There is nothing glamorous about doing life in prison.......think about that before you judge.....

  • yeah i was locked up with him from 2002-04

  • Whether he snitched or not...he's still a dumbass.

  • there is no such thing as life with the possibility of parole in the state of pa. He snitched I was locked up with Steady B at SCI Houtzdale, get your facts straight.

  • were you really locked up with him?

  • Steady did'nt snitch, he was the get away driver and was said to have supplied the guns. if he had snitched, he would have still got life but with the possibility of parole after more than likely, 25 years. he only confessed to his part and would'nt speak on the shooting, that's why there's no possibility of parole.

  • To all tha dummies on here claming like steady told on cool c think about it if you snitch on sumbody you gonna do time but dam that nigga got life, so c'mon he didnt snitch that nigga was hanging wit his homeboy trying to be kool and loyal cause if he snitched he would be coming home by now or already out cause back then tha max for that crime was 25yrs so WTF is ya'll saying the just changed tha accomplice law in 2000 depending on tha states! Read up on your state laws instead of wikipedia

  • RAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Nah Right website gives some detailed info on the Cool C issue, although you'll have to do some digging to confirm the validity of some of the information. Mixed opinions on the subject, both in terms of crime and punishment, leave a lot to be considered.

  • I can't put myself in his shoes, but Steady's comments there show just how close to breaking point he was. Ready to take to more desperate measures after his career took a dive, the plans were put into motion not long after that interview, I'd suspect. Kids really looked up to these guys, too.

  • Cool C is still alive at present, having his execution date stayed several times since his conviction in 1996. He has the notoriety of being convicted of killing the first female police officer in the line of duty in Philadelphia, one Lauretha Vaird. The bank robbery was bungled, with Stead' driving the getaway car. 'Cool' was close to being executed, with Judge Glazer overturning the deadline ruling, hours before it was due to be carried out. What a waste, and a tragic loss of life.

  • cool is alive n well At Greene State Prison

  • Christopher Roney (born December 15, 1969 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), known by the stage name Cool C, is an American rapper whose musical career peaked in the late 1980s. He is perhaps best known today for the notoriety surrounding his involvement in the murder of a Philadelphia Police officer in a bank robbery in January 1996. He is currently incarcerated in a Pennsylvania state prison awaiting execution. He was to have been put to death on March 9, 2006, but his execution has been stayed.

  • Where did you get your info from? He's still alive...for now! He was scheduled to be executed at one point, but received a stay of execution.

  • Roney was arrested and on October 30, 1996, convicted of first degree murder. Roney was sentenced to death by lethal injection. On January 10, 2006, his death warrant was signed by Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell and his execution date was set for March 9, 2006. He was granted a stay of execution from Pennsylvania Judge Gary Glazer on February 1, 2006 until all post-conviction litigation is resolved. He is currently an inmate at Pennsylvanias State Correctional Institution at Greene.

  • ur a damn liar! u say hes been dead since 2002, how can that be if his schediled execution date was march 2006. learn some facts before u make ignorant statements!

  • @bjthegreat100 U TOLD THAT COCK SUKER

  • If your bank is endless, why would you count it??

  • SIMPLE... Steady and his boyz were STUPID. I guess they wanted to Count Endless Bank from the bank. DUMBASSES... had all that clout...

  • steady used to be the shit

  • hes a snitch...he ratted on cool c...steady got life and cool was sentenced 2 death...hes already dead since 02

  • cool c is still living..hes locked up..but he's alive

  • damn people if u dont know shit dont put it out there. wikipedia!

  • They hit Steady B so hard when sentencing him because a cop was kilt a female cop at that

  • so fuk it lets rob a bank tommorrow ..cuz they ot cash

  • they need to free steady b! If they can't free dis nigga-they need a close circuit show-dis nigga a legend. CIA OFFICIALS AND DEA OFFICIALS HAVE DONE MORE DIRT AND STILL WALKIN FREE!!!!!

  • Steady is just pissed cause no one wanted to see his fat ass live on stage, LOL

  • Comment removed

  • sometimes i wonder if steady b was smokin crack and shit around this time he doesnt look to healthy here.

  • get the fuck outta here, this how gossip starts..

    talk what you know.

  • Comment removed

  • free stead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • do the crime, do the time. hard times for him and Cool C. i still love some audio two, three time dope, steady b, that philly movement was hot,

  • Audio Two? I don't think so buddy.

  • whats wrong with audio two??!

  • Audio Two is Not Philly My Man.

  • ah ya talkin bout philly.. thought yall was talking bout dopeness..

    one

  • @djpome Audio two? From Philly? New York, surely? They were MC Lyte's brothers.

  • Stereotype...Rap=violence=Self Desctruction...I have all their tapes!!! Wack.

  • I think Cool C was excuted back in march of 2006 by lethal injection...

  • He got a stay of execution.

  • when did they do this interview

  • @det300zx Nice.

  • @funkateer17 She knew the risk when she took the job ,you took the money you take the risk so deal with it.

  • I dont disrespect the guy he was a damn good mc, i know he fucked up but he was a cool dude. Also, he didnt pull no trigger so i think he should have went to jail but not for life that was bullshit, he was just a getaway driver, 10 to 15 maybe, but not 29 to life with no chance of parole. Cool C the real idiot for killing a cop.

  • he just fucked up what a waste

  • a lady black lady cop at that

  • He was cool for a minute- but made bad decisions- end of story. People, please stop getting your stories from wiki- it could be written by ANYBODY with a computer! It's not 100% accurate!

  • Steady Bitch in prison

  • 'Steady Bitch in prison'....wow, TruthhandJustice101, ha ha ha....you guys are tools.

  • @ xTupacShakurx People barely know any of the old school emcees...it doesnt have anything to do with what crimes were committed. Hip hop audiences are just like that...they hop on the next hip shit. 3X Dope never killed a cop...but they are not mentioned at all...Not even VH1 Hip Hop Honors have gotten to them yet.

  • I'm from Philly and I live in the dame neighborhood they were from. People up here love to tell the story of what really happened to those 2. They did have money but they were on that shit. They were supposed to come out with another album but that shit didn't pop off. One of my homies has a picture of the fat one in jail and told me that dude gets fed in butt!! ...yeah...

  • is is really getting raped

  • where'yd u hear that lil nigga kid

  • , and he is currently serving a life sentence in a Pennsylvania state prison for his role in the murder of a Philadelphia Police officer during a botched bank robbery in JanuaryWarren McGlone (born January 5, 1970 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), known by the stage name Steady B, was an American rapper and emcee who, along with Schoolly D and the Fresh Prince, was one of the first wave of Philadelphia-area rappers to gain notoriety in the mid to late 1980s. Steady B's music, 1996

  • When steady was the shit, why did he have to go and kill that police officer. Even if he didn't have any money he should have used his head, he would have been a classic philly rap legend but he made the wrong decision and now barley anyone knows who he is. I like his shit but i look at him in a whole different way now.

  • why the f*ck would you rob a bank when you had the kind of money they had and were at that time celebrities? Killing a police woman!!! Stupid!!! H*ll I am at the low end of the tax bracket and have never thought of doing such a thing. They can't even use the lame excuse that they were on drugs! I will never look at another song by these guys... EVER!

  • the problem was they had no money...

  • TAKE YOUR RADIO

  • boah, you'd spill the beans if you was in his position so don't even front

  • C.E.B.'s song titled "Get The Point" was sampled from Freda Payne's song "Stick Up, Highway Robbery".

  • My Bad, it was Honey Cone

  • It is no excuse for robbing someone, but the music industry in the '80's was really brutal. You have to look the part, and the record companies give you drugs, a rental car and a lil bit of money that is an ADVANCE. What you spend you have to pay back if the company does not make that up in record sales. The only money you make is concerts (and you know a ticket was only 10.00 to see them clowns back then). They were robbin to keep up with the jones. It's sad really.

  • Steady B a snitch. he sold out cool c for a life sentence w/o parole. now he locked up with no kind of honor. he should have kept his mouth shut they had them niggas anyway. he got a death sentence anyway. that was dumb

  • Where u get dat info homie? Both dem niggaz got life. U don't c nun of em walkn da streetz right? Some of the most notorious mufukaz n da street sold out! Datz life homie! What wud u have dun?

  • man u right homie. my mistake. I thought steady b got a death sentence but it was cool c. yeah none of them aint gonna see freedom. I understand where u comin from

  • Not sayin he deserves to be out of jail, but I liked some tracks he had, and the old school LL diss

  • I grew up with his records. In Germany nobody had to stay a lifetime in prison just for the things he did. Hope he´s okay...

  • @bigruexxl The Police woman had her fucking face blown off, and you're worrying about them?!!

  • Hopefully this clown rots in jail. Steady B, like Cool C, was a talentless thug who got what he deserved. Hopefully both of their deaths are slow and painful

  • That my Dude...Kept it THORO !

    Peace

  • ya steady b got life in prison but i cant rember if he got da possibility of parole

  • They got no parole. Apparently they shot a female cop while robbing the bank

  • o dey dont ok ty

  • I dont think he's ever getting out..he was an accessory and the victim was a cop.

  • yeah same here i dont think hes gonna get out

  • Steady B aka Warren McGlone was the shit then. I hated it when he got lockd up for robbing banks. I'm not sure how many years he got but I do remember hearing it on the news some years ago.

  • He'll never cut another record. The only music he'll be making is when he's hitting soprano getting rammed in his ass in the joint. Life w/o the possibility of parole

  • haha you are a funny M/F.......

  • I was a fan of Steady B from '87 to '91, and I even liked the CEB joint when it came out, but styles changed, and they (the group) didn't, plus I heard they spent MADDDDD money when they were hot...had wives and kids to support...they were on a sinking ship. DAMN...!

  • Yeah they did have kids and wives it's something to make you think what their wives and kids are doing now since then. Damn! They were hot back then I'm still looking for Steady's first and second album on cd and can't find either one of them. Would you happen to know troop?

  • Does anyone think that maybe right after this non-supportive so called show, which no one showed up to was when Steady B, Cool C and E-Marvelous went on the robbery spree? I mean damn look at the expression on Steady B's face when he was talking he looked mad stressed out and pissed off and both of them were hot back then it just goes to show how shady and bullshitty the music industry was really getting back then for real lyricist.

  • he didn't kill anybody,Cool C blasted a female Cop.and they confessed and are serving life sentences.

  • I liked Steady B shit way more than Cool C wit his crackhead rappin ass....i posted a few classics by Steady on mines as well and 4 the record Cool C pulled the trigger and killed that officer.....these guys were at the top of their game and had too rob banks wtf. Truthfully Three Times Dope was runnin shit on the Hilltop back then as well.

  • How the hell u say they was at the top of their game? Yeah back in late 80's but this video I think is from like mid 90's...probably little before that bank robbery shh...cause he talking about CEB. Top of their game when he just said no one came?...its kind of sad to see it cause he says ...promoters dont want to pay them and stuff like that..calling themselves Counting endless bank when they aint getting money....no wonder..i would of robbed a bank too out of desperation.

  • Steady B.... was reppin Philly...that bring the beat back was killin'em

  • This Gotta Be Around 93/94...He Mentioned Lords Of The Underground, "Nobody Wanted 2 See Em!"

  • Wait a minute maybe i'm speaking too soon, how old is this shit? He still in prison right?

  • Hes In Jail, This Was A Minute ago Talkin 90's....Killed A Cop....Philly

  • Yea I knew he killed somebody and shit that's why I checked myself because I realized I made a mistake. Why is everybody calling him a snitch? Who did he snitch on. I think ppl say that snitch shit just because it's cliche but if a nigga is in PRISON serving forever if he got a chance to shorten that shit or even get out by snitching chances R he's gonna do it. Who wouldn't? Any muthafucka with brains would.

  • When did this muthafucka get outta prison? Didn't this mufucka kill somebody?

  • JUST CALL US DEF!!!

  • Wrong choices can ruin everybody's lives. Sometimes you can't undo it when you blew it. What a shame for everyone involved in that terrible bank robbery--Steady B, Cool C, the murdered police office/mother of 2 children. Everyone lost out on that deal--especially those children. They all have my prayers...

  • I was one of the BIGGEST Steady B & COOL C fans. I even got a chance to meet them backstage when they did a show in my hometown of Little Rock back in '87-'88..I was about 13 then. But after I heard about what they pulled & took the life of that lady, who happened to be a college student paying her way through school & a mother of two at that, I couldn't show Steady B or Cool C "ANY" love from that point forward..

  • Never pictured Steady to be such an angry young man, he's got that intense look in his eye. Shifty bastard.

  • Damn right!!!!!!!!!

  • this was in response to mrcrews steady is a snitch

  • this alubum actually dropped in 1992 and did very bad. They are still in jail right now sucking off Nasty Nate.

  • steady b is a rat.stop snitchin fat boy.

  • thats my nigga...steady b

  • he's somebody else's nigga right now. face down ass up. Better yet, he's somebody else's bitch.

  • well your everyone's bitch Vergadoce, We don't hafta go to jail to getta piece o' yr ass

  • wait if they killed a cop, they're still in jail right? killing someone that protects and serve(police firemen, ambulance, etc) is really bad.

  • Yes really bad! So so wrong...

  • cool c is down in Greene county PA. thats where Mumia Abu Jamal is also

  • who wouldve kmown they were gonna rob a bank

  • Instead of "Counting Endless Bank", they can rename the group "Doing Endless Time" since they are doing LIFE Sentences for that killing of the lady-cop during that bank robbery. (Cool C got the Death Penalty) Sad deal.

  • Tell me about it. Didn't know that they killed a cop as well. Awful.

  • Blk female cop, mother of 2 boys. In response to a 'disturbance in the bank' (not of a Robbery In Progress), the uniformed officer was shot in the neck on approach. The 2 then fled to the waiting car (driver got Accessory charges). Since Steady and Cool wouldn't set the record straight on which was the trigger man, they both got the charges (either they wouldn't snitch, or they blamed the other... can't recall that part).

  • It recently came out that C was the trigger man, stating, "I'll handle this" when he spotted the cop entering. This went down YEEEEEARS ago, like, 1995. This ended what was learned to have been a STRING of robberies and hold-ups by the trio. There ya have it.

  • Thanks for that info bro. I do remember seeing it on nationwide news. It was like 95 or 96. I will have to look her up on ODMP. That's sad. A 23 year old woman was killed by bank robbers today in Chicago. May 22.

  • Steady snitched and gave up a whole bunch of robberies they did and said cool pulled the trigger. Steady got fifteen cool got death and mark canty who wrote for them got life

  • you got wrong info Steady B also got life sentence

  • not to argue but steady got 15 for that case for snitchin on cool c and mark canty i was locked down with mark at fairton fci while there were going through the case and saw the paperwork

  • so you're saying Steady B got glipped? The person who is cooperating with police shouldn't be showning his paper like that when he's locked up. A snitched can get merced behind bars on that.

  • no mark canty who was the 3rd guy with them showed us the paperwork he got life on that case and 25 on the other robberies steady snitched on steady was in protective custody

  • Steady B- Wanna Go Steady was my shit when I was like 8.
