The move shouldn't have been made, he easily could've moved slightly to the left to avoid the right bound sliding defencemen. But instead he tried it, and scored. But what could've happened, a bone deep cut, maybe worse. The last thing the sport needs is a richard zednik and then richard zednik decapitating someone.

But then again maybe that would take all the spotlight off fighting.

That's an amazing play. But I can't help but think how dangerous that would be. Say Zednik didn't go fully over the defender and landed on an arm or something. That could be so dangerous and would DEFINITELY cause a severe injury. I think the league should look into people sliding on the ice, or people jumping. Just my thoughts, but it is a good goal.

He knew what was happening, and got up and skated as fast as he could off the ice. While he was skating off the ice, every time his heart beat, blood squirted out of his neck. If he stayed on the ice for just a few more seconds, he'd have died.

Actually, NHL should take notice and make it a rule not to allow such antics.

If he didn't jump he would have gone flying over the defense player and into the goalie.. No way he would have been able to avoid it. Jumping seams like a good response in that case and it is a risk the Defense is taking by laying down like that.

You can't do it when checking someone and you definitely shouldn't do it when jumping over a defender.
