I would not encourage doing this activity with this level of ulnar nerve pain. it may further aggravate the nerve. It is best to just gradually work on nerve mobilization and only move up to the point of discomfort but not continue past it. It may be more beneficial to address whatever is the primary cause of the older nerve damage first before doing more of this activity.
Thanks for this great video. Can I do this excercise if I'm currently in a lot of pain due to the ulnear nerve ? My wrist is in a lot of pain and it was in a state of constant spasm: my ring finger and pinkie are numb, have no flexibility of the fingers to the left and right at all. I was in so much pain when the spasm started that I could hardly breathe from the pain. The spasm is gone after taking muscle relaxer and codeine for the pain but my outer 2 fingers are still numb. Ulnear damage?
