Hicks and Stanhope are great in their own respects. I mean, Stanhope's delivery is priceless, but Hicks' logic is flawless. Hicks seemed more open to the idea of religion in a Ghandi-like fashion, and didn't stereotype it in any way shape or form. Stanhope has moments of brilliance like this, which even forshaddow Hicks at times, but there's some tiny flaws in his logic (hear me out) as far as politics go. The difference is Bill saw the corporations as more of a deathtrap, which they are.

I agree, opinion is good to hear and being objective is also good. Defining freedom is not so simple, for example, Stan couldn't do this show in Cuba, but in Cuba, nobody is homeless and when kids go to school they don't need to take lunch as the school provides it. Being Canadian I have been able to go there for a number of years and I can say that freedom is defined on a million different levels. Stan is here to make you laugh though, not study economics or political science.

Saying that Bill Hicks is better than Stanhope or vice versa is a moot point. If you had any sense you'd realise that they were both portraying the same message but in different ways.

When I was younger and in my acid/mushrooms/weed phase Bill Hicks spoke volumes to me. His ideas and his delivery of those ideas changed my life and my perspectives in so many ways.

However, as I grew my habits changed and I grew to take more inspiration from Stanhope.
