  • I remember this game xD the passwords where soooo mother fucking long!

  • Great Game... Good times... Good times...

  • Holy Shit. I never knew how to get past that fucker with the hammer. You just lifted a huge burden off my childhood's soul.

  • whats with changing gi joes on the spot, from g hawk to wet suit?sounds a little lame and unreal

  • Oh, sweet times!! nice.

  • anybody knows who composed this music? this is ... I can't find the words ... o shit! why such masterpieces do not have their names?

  • @akczenaiwok 2 composers by the names of "Hama" and "Eden" composed it.

  • Both 2 games seems to has Capcom engine for me.

  • it looks like saint seiya

  • u play the game good but u need take your and get all the power up's and stuff it help a lot and the end of the game

  • a super good nes game

  • such an awesome game brings back alotta memories and the music was awesome, remember it to this day.

  • THIS GAME WAS FUCKING HARD!

  • 2:15 Road Pig 3:04 Toxo-Viper 3:07 Toxo-Viper 3:19 Hydro-Viper 3:34 Toxo-Viper 3:37 Toxo-Viper 3:41 Toxo-Viper 3:58 Hydro-Viper 4:09 Toxo-Viper 4:10 Toxo-Viper 4:12 Toxo-Viper 4:17 Toxo-Vipers (two can be seen at the same time and one can be seen again at 4:24)
  • Why dont you try getting the second quest ending, and the third quest ending, and then you can say this game was easy!!! Hehehehehe!! Almost nobody knows that capcom made it so you could play a second and a third quest!!!! Try it out and let me know what you think buddy, maybe you can get those endings up here in youtube, since I dont think anyone else has!!!

  • I didn't know this had a prequel until I got into emulators

  • this is when nintendo was the shit I loved the games that came out in the 90's for nintendo..... this looks like it was made by the same ppl who made Low-G Man

  • It was. They also made Kickmaster.

  • yes! this is KID, I believe some guys here also made Recca

  • I remembered picking this up at a garage sale and eing very happy. Fun game! And i grew up with these figures...so it was perfect!

  • remember this game when i younger. I could probably beat it now without dying.

  • First mini boss is so easy. There's a way to do it without getting hit at all. Jump over him when he swings his hammer and air kick him in the back, it will bounce him back, and just keep jumping over him and kicking him in the back. 13 kicks should do the trick.

  • one of the best on nes l got the lest part of the game

  • Hey, I've seen that people have hacked this game... and I also see that people on here are familiar with the original Taxan G.I. Joe game.

Has anyone tried hacking this game to include some stuff from the original Taxan game? Like the gernade throwing... or even some of the characters? I would have loved to have had Rock 'n' Roll and Captain Grid-Iron in this game.

  • This game was awesome

  • The password system was a real bitch in this game. At 1:34, see all of those Tic-Tac-Toe boards in the middle of the screen? That's the password system. The password involved putting a digit in one of the nine spaces IN ALL FOURTEEN TIC-TAC-TOE BOARDS! An example of this is at 3:02. Writing all of this down REALLY sucks ass!

  • I remember this game. I didn't knew this was made by Capcom...

Fun and dinamic gameplay, exellent music, high difficult... tipical of Capcom.

  • it was actually made by Kid, the same developer that did the first G. I. Joe and Kickmaster for the NES. Capcom just picked up publishing rights since I believe Taxan had closed its publishing branch by 1991.

  • My favorite back then :)

  • lol i remembered this game.

it was hard as heck because i didnt know how to use items and the walkie-talkies to call for assistance lol

  • great game, spend long hours on this, these days i can't even pass 1st level :D

  • I played through this game some times, it's really good for NES.

  • This game looks awesome. i just bought a NES last night on ebay. This game is on the top of the list

  • I always wondered why the Joes were normal size and the Cobra bosses were like Yao Ming size...

  • Because they are the BOSSES! :)

    typical NES thing...

  • I know, it just used to make me laugh

  • I just ordered this game with its full box, dust sleeve, and instruction booklet for 40 bucks off ebay in order to add it to my original NES collection. I remember playin it as a kid, but I'm 31 now. I was visiting a used game store in my town the other day, and this is how ya know when your gettin old. The 18 y/o kid who was workin there said he's never played an original NES console!!! Further more...he's never touched a Super NES either! Dam, wheres all my youth escaped to?

  • Yeah dude, I feel ya, if they were born in 1990 or after, they grew up on N64. This game was so ahead of it's time. Ur better off just craigslisting or finding it online, good buy tho

  • Thanks man. Did ya ever play this game? So many NES titles sucked, but this is one that actually had good quality for its 50 price tag. Man, I recall getting so upset when asking my folks to help me out with a little cash after doing chores around the house just to buy a game that I thought would be awesome, but turned out it sucked big time. It was like, I translated all my hard work from chores into a piece o crap game, but not this one. Ya can't go wrong for an old school game.

  • Wish Infinity Ward would develop a FPS G. I. Joe game.

  • unearthered? o_O

  • I remember renting this and playing the heck out of it. thanks for posting!

  • I used to own this game back when I had NES. it was a fun game.

  • I loved pretty much everything about this game. Brings back a lot of fond memories...

  • Probably the best official licensed GI Joe game ever made. Unfortunately the EA game is going to be based on the upcoming GI Joe movie, which won't be 100% true to the original series. :( Give me a GI Joe game based on the comic book using the Mercenaries 2 tech, and I'd buy that in a heartbeat!

  • Good game sequel...VASTLY superior to the original

  • played this game the other night. one of the best nes games out there. hopefully EA will actually do more than just sit on the rights to gi joe.

  • the music in this game's tight

  • I always love the music in this game.

  • I'd give anything for this game to be on Wii download. I used to play it when I was little.

  • Man I still have this game in my collection and my NES still works to this day.

  • same here man, i loved the game on the nes, and sometimes i still play it. and the music is some of the best out there too

and when i was a kid, i collected all of the action man dolls, the small plastic ones! awesome stuff :D

  • Maybe it's because I haven't played the original...But I really love this one,especially the music.Good times...

  • Ahh, good times. I finished that place with all my characters on level 4. Snake Eyes, Duke, and Gen Hawk rule.
