Ironically, Lodge spent so much of his time managing Eisenhower's campaign, he couldn't do much for his own, and Kennedy beat him for his Senate seat.

And like any good campaign manager, he reconfigures history a bit here, when he says that Ike had opposed at Potsdam making any deals to bring the Russians into the war against Japan. In fact, the historical record makes it very clear that Eisenhower was in favor of getting Russia into the Pacific war, so as to beat Japan more quickly.

@GHWB1 No he was not. Lodge Jr. was an affiliate for the League of Nations. Lodge Senior was against it.

The League of Nations became the CFR (Counsel on Foreign Relations) which is now United nations & soon to be "The New World Order".
