those people who can't watch it on the screen. try to buy the pirated dvds. they are crystal clear. made for award consideration so that they'll be as clear as a dvd copy.
or you can just download it on the net.. i know there is a website for downloading films
yeah me too... its r-18 here in the philippines and im just 16. i've waited for this movie since may. damn. it should have r-13 only here but they decided to put a r-18 rating because its uncut.
why do these movies get r-18 rating. i mean there is no nudity. bold films are the one who should get a r-18 film, not this
I'm from Canada and it's rated 18A here too, I'm 16 and they let me in, act confident and nonchalant and if they say you're too young just buy tickets for another movie, I hope you get to see it, this movie is fantastic!
I want to see it, but even though I'm old enough, I have a thing for bloody movies, I can't stand gore, and this film is rated R for it. Is it really that bad? Like the old Rambos are R, and they don't bother me at all.
not to worry!! The movie has cartoonish blood, similar to Sleepy Hallow so it's not that scary, close your eyes if you don't want to see the gory parts they usually give you fair warning!
Hey, dridezz-not everyone is seeing this because it is a Burton-Depp film. I happen to be a long time fan of the broadway production. And to be honest, I didn't think Depp would be able to pull it off. But after seeing it 3 times, I can't help but say this is one of the best films I have ever seen, no joke. So get a life?
wow... these people below me are ridiculous. people should stop fighting. lol well the funny thing is, i know people who loves gory films and musicals but this movie is not of any predilection. they say gore and musical are not two genres not to be mixed. i think not, i think you can mix pretty much anything. i loved the movie. loved the music. great rendition. just brilliant.
I saw this movie yesterday and was completely frightened but it was soooooo AWESOME!!!! The last scene was very moving. Excellent movie. A definate "must see."

Pathetic. I expect another rave review by every reclusive alternative subgroup of our society who so desperately need the likes of Burton and Depp to sustain their otherwise mundane conceptions of all that is macabre. Goths will love it.
"Pathetic. I expect another rave review by every reclusive alternative subgroup of our society who so desperately need the likes of Burton and Depp to sustain their otherwise mundane conceptions of all that is macabre. Goths will love it."
this is an amazing storty not pathetic, the idear is dark revenge not goth, no offence but it qas a bradway musical to start with....you dont get theturs full of goths now do you ?!
That's completely untrue, dridezz. Quit posting pathetic comments on everything to do with this film. I love it becuase it's a brilliant collaboration of Depp, Burton, & Bonham Carter and because of the music. I'm not goth. You need to see the light of this dark film. :p
i know that at 00:20, the actress also played Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter, at 00:31, the guy played Nathaniel in Enchanted and Wormtail in Harry Potter, and at 00:54, the guy played Severus Snape in Harry Potter. interesting
I loved this movie. So much, like WAY much. My friends and I were holding hands and squirming giddily when we watched it. Fantastic, I loved it. Johnny Depp brought such a nice quality to the singing, just a fiendish, growling, and vicious air to it.
totally at 1st i as like OH NO JOHNNY IS GONNA SING but know he is gr8 GOD I AM OBSESSED!
the very 1st time i saw this trailer i said ITS 2 MUCH LIKE JACK buts its cause he needs an english accent cause they r in london and he needs a very londonish accent stupid
Lol, yeah I understand your point. When he's yelling about he has that gruff, Captain Jack voice going. :P But he's amazing, and the tone works for this character anyway. I'm downloading the music asap!
Actually, it's the 6th collaboration between Johnny and Tim Burton. They've done Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Corpse Bride, and now this. I'm unsure about Helena Bonham Carter...let's see, she was in Planet of the Apes, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Corpse Bride. That's all I can pull from the top of my head, but I am getting a little tired of seeing this trio (though they are marvelous).
The biggest reason Burton keeps collaborating with Carter and Depp is because Burton is engaged to Carter and Depp is their child's Godfather. They're all family now so they're working together.(I am kinda getting tired of this trio too, but they are great,no?)
Well, Burton keeps working with Carter cause they have a kid together (soon to be two). I didn't hear they were engaged.
As for Depp and Burton, Johnny has always liked working with Tim and enjoys his directing. That's been true since Edward Scissorhands. They've been working together a lot more lately though. Between Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, and Sleepy Hollow were a number of years. The last 3 have come out practically back-to-back though.
Yeh they are good friends, and i'll bet they keep working together. its kinda weird thinking down 15 years from now and Burton will still be making movie magic.

this fil should have been nominated for
Best picture- which went to Michael Clayton
Best Director- which went to jason reitman
Best Actress- which went to laura linney
Best Make-up- which went to Norbit(f*ck right)
Best Cinematography- it should have gotten the oscar nod
instead it got only three
For Johnny and other two technical awards
i'm keeping my fingers cross for a johnny win, but damn. its hard to win with Daniel Day-Lewis Outthere. YAY bill the butcher. MArti RULES
