My daughter is 5 and was just diagnosed with SM. I watched your video and it made me cry. I've been struggling with the same thing, asking the teacher to give my daughter a chance, to be patient wit her...It seems they don't want to listen, they think she's just stubborn; they think she does this on purpose, they tell me I have to talk to her and tell her "she needs to get over this". They do not understand. She's a non stop talker at home. Hope your daughter is doing better.
I was diagnosed with this at 7. I am now 14 and going into high school. it was hard for me in middle school and it is hard for me right now. But I am getting stronger every day. Reply back to me if you want.
Hello. My daughter has been diagnosed with this and I realized as a child, I was the same but it was all handled differently then now. The anxiety I lived with was heartbreaking but luckily I was made stronger by it all and survived. She is the most beautiful child and it is hard to see how people perceive her because she can not speak. People can be cruel. I protect her carefully from this. The most important part is to love and support unconditionally, always be on their side.
