@vladimirkafm Don't use alcohol from the drug store. From what I've read it turns into acetone, so using vodka is your best option. You can substitute the vodka with Witch Hazel, which is very cheap and easy to find at drug stores or Walmart and other similar stores.

Aren't storebought colognes/perfumes actually more or less clear, just in tinted bottles that make them appear to be colored? If not, wouldn't they stain your clothes? (I spray cologne on my clothes and they don't look stained after that to me.)

I've learned not to spray cologne on my clothes because it actually leaves a oil stain that is not unremovable.. you should always spray it on your hand and then rub it to avoid this..
