@9800GTX2 if you want a good engine in it, put in a mercedes 300turbodiesel. either the 5 or the 6 sylinder. the 5 cylinder engine from the w123 merc kan easily be tuned up to 180hp on std turbo and dieselpump. for further tuning mount a dieselpump from the same type engine without turbo. that pump can be shimmed up with 7.5 mm elements inside. then you can put a holset hx 50 turbo on it and thrash it all day long cause it got forged internals. you shold see aprox 350 hp at this point.
I just wet my pants! I love the sound of these straight 6 diesels. Used to to drive VW LT's my dad had.... Won't forget these rugged vans with this lovely sound!
this brings back wonderful memories of my childhood.My dad had a volvo 740 and 940 bith fitted with this engine.they were always easy to start and dad had no problems at all with them.
Actually that sound reminds me of a Scania D8 from late 70´s, if the engine is sounds aggressive it´s almost dead... But this engine runs smooth and of what i hear it have a few thousand miles to go :)
Wat betekent dat "mariniseren"? Is dat een andere tuning ofzo?

1.06-1.28 and 1.50-2.07 (slow revving) - sounds almost like a tank (leopard 2) engine... :D
