  • He sounds like a democrat. Fox News will fire him for sure...

  • It sounds very weird to say this but.... when Shep is sitting in the chair Fox news really is fair and balanced.

  • I bet that asshole senator thought it was going to be a cake walk because it's news. Boy was he in for a surprise. Go get them Shep!

  • Maybe Shep doesn't leave because he knows what a service he is doing for society at large by hanging around and opposing the big guns at Fox. He's a very brave man to volunteer to work with the wingnuts and psychos presenting the other shows!

  • fox new is going to fire him soon for being fair and balanced and truthful.

  • apparently it's unamerican to want a public health insurance program akin to canada. what a load of bull. just like people were brainwashed into thinking saddam was behind 9/11, people can be sheep at time. it pains me to watch

  • @mikeynzl Your post was great. Google ALECWATCH a watch dog group monitoring the American Legislative Exchange Council. They are a Secret group behind many of the state Governors and legislators to STOP things like Single Payer Ins. This is only the tip of the iceberg. They are anti choice, anti education, anti Medicare anti

SS and want to, and are taking this country back 40 years and more. Please google ALECWATCH. Know what's going on right under your nose. don't wake up in a body bag.

  • The one good thing about Fox.

  • Sheppard Smith reminds me of the default face in fallout 3 LOL

  • how has he not been fired for arguing against company interests? everyone knows fox news is a conservative propaganda machine.

  • @tekfunk

they need him to make their slogan true, " fair and balance" LOL

  • I had no idea that Fox actually has a logical, caring newscaster!!

  • I love this guy. So refreshing. How is he still there?

  • @americanbiwi

they need him to make their slogan true, " fair and balance" LOL

  • Apparently, Shep wasn't listening to Obama and Pelosi when they said after about 10 years, there will be no option. It just takes time, and those socialists are more than willing to wait. Gov. doesn't work from profit; they have that leverage over private industry... just saying.

  • @fuzzyabomb And that's a valid point, only belittled by the fact that the government DOESN'T have that kind of leverage over private industry. . .private businesses outway government profit in the same fields, without looking it up I believe recently was a 51% to 50%. Not anything extravagant, but still a sign of the times.

  • @GeminiDoran Shows what you know...

  • @fuzzyabomb way to discredit your own argument by being flippant with those who disagree with you. That's the way of childish 'nuh uh' and 'uh huhs', not civil debate. If you're so sure of your convictions why shy from an opportunity to prove them? Seems silly.

  • Shep Smith is the only newscaster I enjoy watching...on any network.

  • Private for-profit insurers get a free ride on the back of medicare;they cherry-pick healthiest while medicare has to take everyone. Very un-christian "let the sick ones go bankrupt or drop dead" attitude. The moral thing? "we're all in this together" pool

Not just 60% supported Public Option, but also 55%-70% of public supports Single Payer (see pnhp dot org) which is not 'takeover' but public nonprofit universal insurance, you pick your(private)doctor, a freedom the for-profits don't give us

  • I'm a health food person myself but this hateful Republican won't get me to go along with demonizing "it's all because they eat poorly, don't exercise, or smoke"..so we should let them drop dead? He's also lying: those 5% most costly includes people who got cancer or a congenital disease or something else unrelated to their personal diet/exercise

Medicare too expensive? That's because YOU senator won't let it negotiate for Best Deal w/rug companies. &Medicare has to accept all, including sickest

  • I'm curious, did Shepard Smith eventually change his position to be more inline with the repub's?

  • I don't know who Shep Smith is because I don't fog my mind with the hypocrisy and deceit of the Fox channel.

  • @zenbrenzz yes you just fog your mind with the hypocrisy and deceit of MSNBC instead right?

  • damn i didnt think that fox had real journalists hey lets here it for quotas because its clear that mr smith is there to counter balance the 23hour crazy-thon that is fox news

  • A breathe of fresh air from the right. He makes me proud to be a conservative.

  • @pugdude01 the truth is when you don't take speeches out of context and blatantly lie about people. Fox has done this several times.

  • Finally someone on fox tells the truth

  • @Bryanchannel1, why do Democrats always see their point of view as "the truth". It's so arrogant. Shep is clueless--he shouldn't be making an opinion as a reporter.

  • Most Doctor's wanted the public option.

  • We the people call this country a free one, what is being required to have medical insurance, I don't see that as being in a freedom land. I've not needed any real health care for more than 12 yrs, can you imagine how much of my money would be going in and never needing any of it back in health care. When I do need to see a docter I simlpy pay for it, that costs me a lot less than having insurance all these years would have. Car insurance OK I drive everyday but health ins. I almost never need!

  • @dayla072609 But if you get something proper serious it could costs thousands and then your done. Just like the car you prob wont crash but you could.

  • @zapwert I understand where you are coming from and I've argued that fact in my mind to myself, but when I calculate the numbers, in 12 yrs I've spent about 3600 on health care, If I had insurance all those yrs at approxiamately 250. a nonth which I have check for my family that was the cheapest at the time I could find, my cost would have been $36,000.00 and that is just the monthly, don't forget that most times you have copay fees and things they don't pay for period. So now do u c my point.

  • @dayla072609 I understand those who are sick often or who live adventurous lives and get hurt need this, and some day I will get it b/c I am getting older and humans naturaly have more health issues as we age. But if I make sure to do healthy things and live a healthy lifestyle and I go to my docter for check ups to make sure I'm still healthy, then I should not be forced to do something in a country that says we're free.

  • @dayla072609 Your past experiences don't determine if you'll get seriously ill in the future or not. If anything the older you get the higher the chances. I guess if you have been saving that money in an account for all that time so you can use it when bills of that magnitude come in for something like e.g. cancer treatment or a transplant then you would be fine. But most people dont have that kind of money at short notice so then its best to have some insurance. Best wishes of course :p

  • There are people on Fox who are all well and ok with Gay marriage and think it should be legal, and think Don't ask don't tell is stupid and needs to be repealed. Then you have some of the older more traditional guys who don't agree with that, yet at the same time have no HATE for those people.. Fox is a diverse network, and not for people who cling hard to either side left or right

  • @NOMNOM81 "There are people on Fox who are all well and ok" ... yeah, erll, correction, there is ONE person on Fox who is all well and ok and it seems to be Shepard Smith!

  • @jazzfan5000 Beck's a libertarian and doesn't care if gays are marrying so long as it doesn't hurt him. Bill O'Reilly actually changed his views on the whole issue and also supports gay adoption.. He's written about this as well.. And yes you're right Shep Smith is another who is ok with it.

  • If Fox spewed nothing but right wing propaganda I wouldn't bother to watch it, and they'd be down in the dumps like the other networks are going, because all they do is spew left wing propaganda. People don't like Beck, because they don't like what he exposes. Why is it nobody can debate him on the things he talks about? Instead all they do is call him names, or call for FNC or his show to be taken off the air, and yet these very same people will throw the word Nazi towards those they don't like

  • @NOMNOM81 Which networks spew left wing propaganda and what makes them "left wing"??

  • @jazzfan5000 *gives you some koolaid*

  • Why is it the people who hate Fox, say the most ignorant things, and or don't even watch it? Fox has a number of different types of people on it. I watch Fox all the time and I'm no far right loon, I can't stand Republicans, and I can't stand Democrats, but I know there are good men and women in both parties, those are the people you look for and vote for. I'm conservative on some issues, and liberal on some others.. I like common sense, truth, and compassion

  • @NOMNOM81 "...what Glenn Beck is exposing" Exposing what? The fact that he's a lunatic?

  • @jazzfan5000 LOL actually the people who hate him so, expose themselves as lunatics, and also phony ^_^

  • we spend money on people that eat too much, excercise too little and smoke!!!! america, is this guy a congressman?

  • @jopaddy81 Yes he is a congressman, and even though I sometimes disagree with his politics he is speaking the truth!

People who eat too much= obesity and all the other sickness thats associated with being over weight.

    People who smoke= cancer

These are the main sicknesses that are driving up cost and most times they are preventable.

  • God I love idiots calling Fox News "Faux News". Lol. They don't realize how ridiculous it looks.

  • @Llama212ify Shepard Smith is the only guy on Fox News that actually reports anything! Although he's a tad bit sensationalist, he is still in league with journalistic integrity. You can't say that about Hannity or Oreilly or ESPECIALLY Glenn Beck!!

  • @jazzfan5000 Those last three have nothing to do with news, they are just Fox's talking heads.

  • healthcare is rising for 3 reasons:

    1. people are skimming off the top.

    2. we provide too many services to too many people (illegals, criminals, welfare whores)

    3. more americans let their bodies go to hell and then when the moment of truth comes, they raid the system.

  • Shep you are an idiot. It is a gov take over.ARE DOCTORS GOING TO BE RUNNING IT ? NO!!! ARE PRIVATE INS COMPANIES GOING TO BE RUNNING IT ? NO!!! THE GOV IS..SO IT'S A GOV TAKEOVER.. Maybe if we could buy across st lines which would create comp. and we had REAL tort reform. . Look at SS ,medicare, and medicaid. They are BANKRUPT b/c of politicians stealing from the funds. And you for some reason think the gov can run healthcare?? I think you need to be over at MSLSD. U would fit right in.

  • @cathrasher1974

and there's the problem, its not because medicare, and medicaid don't work, they do, and very well. . . like you said "They are BANKRUPT b/c of politicians stealing from the funds. " . . . Stop the stealing from funds and they'd be so much better off, the same would go for a public option.

Also, a govt take over would mean the government TAKING OVER. a public option is not a take over, universal healthcare would be a govt take over. However universal healthcare WORKS!

  • So, this is all the fault of 5% of Americans? I don't think so! 25% of Americans smoke, and 1/3 of Americans are overweight. But what about those of us with catastrophic diseases which are not caused by diet or smoking? Should we just go to hell? Finally, I'll note that Congress has its own public health care, paid for by the taxpayers. Hypocrites! ☺

  • republicans are fucking idiots. democrats have no guts.

  • @MVP15420 It's the other way around

  • Shepp works for FOX because they are truly FAIR and BALANCED and "bluetechsec" like Shepp because they are probably lefties just like Shepp! Since obama won shepp's lefty views are more noticeable.

  • @1thess523 No, Fox is not fair and balanced, and Shephard Smith is not a liberal. He seems like a moderate. A sane one. God, Fox viewers are so out of touch with reality

  • @Janetvdl,And I guess those who don't watch Fox are the only one's intouch with REALITY RIGHT!!!!!! I wounder what the left would be saying is PRESIDENT BUSH was doing what obama is? And no I wouldn't support Bush if he was doing it!

  • @1thess523 You are so intelligent! I want to be just like you, you moron!

  • @jazzfan5000 , i like that you put do not use DEFAMATORY comments on your page or else you will be "blocked" but yet you call me a MORON.

  • @1thess523 Well I'm not using my profile page as a political battleground, son! This is the reason why the comment sections are here on each individual video!

  • @jazzfan5000 , ok so just don't call you names on your page but on the video section someone can call you MORON, got it SONNY!!!!!, but here's the thing your safe with me because I don't cuss or call people dirty names

  • @1thess523 And that is fine!

  • @jazzfan5000 , cool, so what kind of Jazz do you play!

  • @1thess523 Check out my profile! I have videos and links to places where you can listen to some of my music.

  • I watched this very interview. They had 2 guests on. One was this guy. Shep took an opposing view against both guests. That's one of the reasons why I like shep as a reporter was because of this interview. But this video mis-represents it by cutting the debate in half.

  • I wonder if Shep gets invited to the office Christmas party.

  • The only REFORMS we need to make are in the insurance companies. The Health Care system is just fine... the insurance companies are the ones that are charging people so much. We don't need that, and we SURE as hell don't need a gov't-rin health care system. It's un-American.

I can't believe there are ignorant people here that believe a public option is the way to go. That's messed up.

  • Shepard Smith is the only part of Fox News that is "Fair and Balanced"

  • keep it comng shep, god bless you.n for being fair and balanced and not thinking that the ame3rican public are stupid and we don't know any better.

  • ohh Shep.

the one Fox news reporter you're allowed to like. (Though i think you can by extension like Jonathan Hunt)

  • Why is a FOX news guy defending the public option? Roger Ailes must want this guy fired - to purify the news company.

  • The more I watch this Shepard Smith guy, the more I am impressed by him...and I hate Fox News......He might be only one at Fox that isn't deranged. Keep it coming Shep.

  • Wow Republicans have the weakest arguments. Shepard Smith would have my vote in a heart beat.

  • Shep gets it!

  • It amazes me that Sheppard Smith can work for that company.

  • LMFAO THATS TRUE. WHEN FOXNEWS SAIDS THERE FAIR AND BALANCED THERE TALKING ABOUT Shepard Smith PERIOD

  • @lifeseeker1 I've always wondered why Sheppard Smith would work at Fox.

  • Folks, I have been watching Fox for about 8 yrs now, ritualistically, and I can say that Shep is simply an anchor that tries to give voice to rationalism. From Katrina to torture; zealots to morons: He is gonna let you know.

  • shep must b the only non acid blooded alien on foxnews who cares about humans. Honesty midst the misinfo of beck, reily, hanity &blonds. Uk nhs is the way 2go, flawed but fair. Shep should go 4 congress

  • I absolutely LOATH FAUX News.

But Shep Smith is my fav news guy....

    Weird.........

  • Exactly how I feel!

  • @bluetechsec

i used to think shepard smith was a fake but after seeing all his rogue videos (if they are sincere) i might change my mind.

  • @bluetechsec

It's why they keep him around. He's the 2nd most trusted news anchor in America. And has the highest rated programme on the network. In a sense, he legitimises the network.

  • I live in Ireland, and we have a medical card system for people who cannot afford health insurance. It really helps those families who have fallen into misfortune. Thousands of jobs have been lost here because of the current economic crisis. Health is a right and not a privilege in my opinion.

The same people who vote against this, are the people who claim to be "Good Americans". If you were good Americans, you'd look out for your fellow American brother who is falling on hard times.

  • I agree. But America has become the land of excess. Our stores throw away enough food in a week to feed America's needy, but would rather it spoil in the hopes of someone buying it then give it away too early. They cut up clothing to throw away so it doesn't get used. We put people in prison for smoking a plant, yet allow them to gamble and drink, and smoke cancer causing cig's.

We are fucked up M8, pray for us. These same "Good Americans" also call themselves "Good Christians".

  • The other guy is thinking, WTF, I thought this was fox news not nbc or cnn. lol

  • I hate FAUX NEWS, but I think I'm falling in love with Shepard Smith. Wow! He really got his head on straight.

  • Why hasn't FOX fired this reasonable man? I am astonished!

I mean, I like it, but WOW. How is FOX taking sanity for an option in one of their anchors? This is so not like FOX....

  • which one is shepard?

  • Of all the guys on Fox, Shep is the only one I can stomach. I don't agree with him on everything, but he is one of the few on the network that makes any sense. And this is coming from an Independent voter.

  • Way to go Shep Smith! Made him look like a freggin moron.

  • Medicare is not purchased: You don't purchase a medicare insurance package. The Public option would be purchased by citizens, unlike Medicare.

Shep is exactly right. A public option is not a freaking take over.

If you like your BlueCross then keep it, but pple who can't afford 1200 a month will just purchase the less expensive public option instead.

P.S. those who say govt entities are always horrible are wrong. Look at: NASA, EPA, FDA, CIA, FBI, DOJ, Fed Court system, NAVY, Army, Marines

  • The only way a public option would bring costs down is if it capped prices. That would lead to lower supply and rationing. Washington can't figure out medicare or VA, or even economic stimulus. How can we possibly expect them to manage a public option. They'll figure out how to use it for political leverage, but it's not going to do anything positive for people's health.

  • Medicare has a 3% overhead. Insurance has a 30% overhead. The fact that medicare is not properly funded doesn't take away from the fact that it is, in fact, run well and costs less than insurance.

  • This guy doesn't cease to astound me. I have so much respect for him. I wonder if he begins getting high ratings, really high like Glen Beck's, if this would be favorable for Fox or would it be unsound for them seeing as they don't care to represent the other side. Either way, I'm watching this guy on Fox.

  • Nice

  • Shepherd Smith makes me want to watch fox news again.

  • wow his guy is powerful,if faux news was to fire him msnbc, cnn, abc, cbs etc would be after him but with that i think makes him more powerful for faux news to get rid of him if he is for truth!

  • Ddoesn't belong on Fox News, he belongs on an actual news channel. Bring him to CNN man, or atleast get him off Fox.

  • Thank you, Shep Smith! Tell it like it is!

  • This guy seems to be the only one with sense and logic on FAUX news.

  • Comment removed

  • Why hasn't Barrasso written and submitted a bill with all his "brilliant"/I hate people suggestions in it? Guess he forgot the oath he took when he became a doctor and has even beyond that entirely turned on the people who voted for him.

  • I've always wondered why the FNC leadership allows a voice with good judgement, fact-checking, and an open mind.

Certainly different from the right-wing nuts that we see in any other FCN show.

  • Shep is undoubtedly the best "news" guy on Fox News. The only good one.

  • This just made my day.

  • A conservative on TV telling the truth!!!!!! I'm shocked, and the Republitards are appalled!

  • holy crap.... im speechless

  • Just curious, is Smith a Conservative/Republican or a Liberal/Democrat? Just wondering.

Either way, I'm happy he's in favor of a public option!

  • Shepard, hand that man his ass back

  • What's so ignorant about Fox's Medicare being riddled with fraud argument is the fraud is being committed by the INSURANCE COMPANIES.

How arrogant to blame the fraud victim but not the defrauder.

In fact Barrasso (R) at 3:11 states, "Let's get rid of the fraud and abuse in the system."

We are trying to get rid of those defrauding the system.......It's called single payer.

    Barrasso is an ignorant boob.

  • OH MY GOD!

A Republican supporting the Public Option?!

    BI-PARTISANSHIP IS POSSIBLE!!!

Now if only we could get that in Congress...

I've never contemplated watching Fox before in my life, but I may tune my ears to this Shep Smith...

  • the argument that the public option would destroy the healthcare industry but also provide inferior care is a logical fallacy, it would only destroy the private insurers if they did not lower their prices reasonably and offer quality for the money. If the pub option sucks, private has no problem. I do not see it being any scarier than private and public schools co-existing. Imagine if we abolished public schools... hello serfdom.

  • GOP is not serious about healthcare reform. Otherwise, they would have done it when they had the majority (2000-2006). Democrats must be stupid, if they can´t understand this simple truth!

  • Haayy, our health care system badly needs some change.

Health insurance companies make money (lots of it) by paying as littlest as possible, not covering you when you most need it, and hoping you don't get sick (which is near to impossible).

Pls remember that these insurance companies would NEVER want any CHANGE or SOLUTION.

Unlike some of us, these insurance companies would fight together to protect & continue their billion profit schemes.

We should pray & work for solutions.Take care y'all.

  • typo"

i meant to say i have NO reason...

  • now you went off the deep end. i have reason to talk to you anymore.

  • Republicans, for the most part, represent corporate america. The democrats fought for every social service we have including medicare and medicaid and unemployment and benefits and minimum wage etc etc...

These rich CEO's have sold america out for their relentless amounts of profit. Unpatriotic, traitors.

  • You (R)'s don't hate Obama because he won the Nobel Prize. You (R)'s hate him because he reminds you of what it is like to have a country that leads again. Most importantly, You (R)'s hate him because he reminds you that you wish you learned to think for yourself.

  • Damn you guys are too rough on the GOP! cuz they have people that could get the award.

    Reagan: Oops, Iran/Contra & Ollie North :(

Steele: For his contribution to Hip Hop Conservatives! Uh- NO!

Jindal: Healthcare Rhodes Scholar! Uh-NO he just sat on his ass

Palin: Oops! She gets ANOTHER incomplete for NOT finishing as AK Gov.

Cheer-Up! Bush at least got a Booby Prize for being the Lamest Duck!

  • Poor former President Bush...

Hopefully when the economy bounces back, we'll be able to put the former President behind us. lol

  • We actually need to name a Holiday after him so that we can remember not to elect another Bush F**k-Up in the future!

  • How did he get a job FOX?

  • Shep if you lose your job.. apply for the Liberal media... they will be glad to accept you... YOU THE MAN!! Finally someone on fox news stands up for the truth.

  • Watch. Fox is going to can his ass for actually being fair and balanced.

  • Well, he's not being quite as balanced in this interview anyway. Sounds more like Ed Schulz's commentary. Not that he's wrong, I mean, he has his moments.

And Fox hasn't evidently hushed him for the previous incidents.

  • Rita you're from Texas. So the answer is easy. Just tell your brother~boyfriend to shut off the lights when he makes love to you ... and won't see your fat thighs or ugly face. A paper bag over your head will help also.

  • President Obama won the Nobel Prize Price.

What a difference between him and the warmongering cowboy politic.

  • FINALLY a FoxNews commentator that doesn't lie and tell the truth ... the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

THANK YOU SHEP SMITH ... you earned my respect.

  • Buying across state lines wouldn't help at all.

Big Insurances do not stab each other in the back. They are exactly like Big Oils.

When the price at the pump was $4.00 and you crossed state lines and buy from a gas station of a different oil company ... the price was still $4.00 a gallon.

Even within the same state the price at the pump varied by only a single penny or two. RatpubliKKKans supporting Big Insurances know this.

In 2010 & 2012 we need to rid ourselves of all of them.

  • Thanks for blowing this schmuck up Shep... You have a new fan..

  • You could imagine a business in the situation where there is the possibility of competition coming, providing a better product at half their price... Shep is right ! Wake up people! You would do EVERYTHING to kill that competitor, buy the congress at all costs. To let the public option loose will reveal the markups on their policy (which are minimum 34% profit). If you pay $6000/yr to Aetna, $2000 is just for the bonuses and shareholders - per YEAR. Only the govt can set up a non-profit policy.

  • GO SHEP SMITH !!

    Analogy to healthcare:

    To send a letter:

    FedEX: $9.00 UPS: $8.00 Purolator: $7.00

    (Blue Cross, Aetna, etc)

    or...the govt Public Option:

    US Post: 50 cents

Get it, people? If govt comes out with a $3000/yr insurance policy with no caveats, it will BLOW AWAY what the insurance companies are providing at $6000+ with limitations, co-pays, and banned coverage!

But notice the postage stamp didn't put couriers out of business at 15X the price! Why fight against an OPTION???

  • Finally, a sensible analysis by Fix News on the healthcare reform. Well done Mr Shep!

  • i see now that i mis-spoke.

earlier i said "talk to me boy".

in your following posts you played the"children" card.

now i see you are a girl.

so no need to persue for me.

you will be filed away with Deep.

    g'nite

  • forgot to respond:

i will not vote for you or sarah in 2012. at least not til i know what you(s) stand for

  • i am independant and undecided.

as i said; she quit for reasons that are unknown to you and i.

anyone with a any part of of a brain values education. those same folk do not value hypocracy. but most know they cannot just speak up anytime, anywhere. unless they have turretsif they have turrets; they are excused cause they know no better. i have children also, they are guided.

Palin never said she saw russia from her porch. that was an SNL skit. most idgits thought it was sarah

  • You entirely missed my point. If the majority of healthcare is spent on 5% of people, and way more than 5% percent of people participate in unhealthy behavior, (and on this we agree) clearly the unhealthy behavior isn't an issue.

Again this was brought up as a distraction.

  • wait. i spoke too soon. by GOP did you mean "gov of the people"? if so yes. if you meant R party, then NO.

i am people, therefore i am for a gov for me

  • i am not GOP.

I am able to formulate my own thoughts.

i am diiferent. i can hold (type) a conversation without using the one liners you seem to have an abundance of.

you got anything else? or shall i go to bed?

    talk to me boy.

  • So you are superior to the present prehistorical GOP?

Are you independent or an undecider?

  • enough of your one liners. say something or go away

  • she was good TO (and for) alaska.

why she quit early you and i will never know. did you walk in her shoes?have you ever had anything close to the responsibilty she dealt with?

it is easy for us to talk it. but that girl walked it.

believe that as you go down the drain

  • Funny how most GOP think she would be a good President despite quitting her responsibilities for AK.

I think I could have walked in her shoes better despite the pumps: I research before I speak. I value education. I don't value hypoccrisy. If I see something wrong, I say something. I guide my children in the right direction!

You get all this without seeing Russia from my porch or stating that I read any and ALL books!

Will you vote for me now in 2012?

  • how do you know what i believe?

why would you want to pick at anything? especailly on someone else?

    you a troller?

  • Your Right!

I love sitting under the GOP bridge and pick off the talking point zombies!

    You're different though......was expecting you to blow-up!

  • i was pushing myself out of this chair when i heard the familiar new mail noise....

    So.

2012? i planned for my future. i have no idea hwat sarah has planned three years from now. now do i know if i would vote for her. as far as i know, she has not stated her position on what what may happen in the future, or what concerns me three years from now.

    Asia? don't know bout that.

she seemd to have success with alaska tho. from what i have read, Our latest state did well when she was in charge.

  • So it was good for AK and her that she quit early?

  • so does this mean you nay saying fools have nothing else for me?

  • That's all for you.

You don't believe in enough of anything to pick at.....Sorry :(

  • twist and shout Deep. you are twisting my words and shouting it to the those who disagree with me. I never said I could remove my own appendix. I said I pay for my own health insurance. when my appendix burst (three years ago), i went to hosp and they yanked it. I had a co pay. i paid it. gladly. I only wish i could have avoided the catheter......

  • hey draino; have you any real topics you wish to discuss? or did you place you whole arguement on my lack of typing skills?

bye the way: I do not know what Palin trigg is. so feel free to explain.

  • Isn't Palin your pick for 2012?

Betcha she did a bang-up job in Asia!

    What do you think?

  • so now we are criticizing symantics on youtube? I thought this was a free forum for debate. not the kind of place where an average cat could speak without proof reading or a thesaurus.

yes i meant insurance. in trying to keep up with the responses, i haven;t the time or desire to use spell check or proof read what my fingers hunt and peck on this keyboard. i figured the gist of what i was saying had more weight than what my obvious typing skills lacked. on that battle field; you win.

  • Deep: neither of my parents use , nor will they ever need medicare. they prepared for the future and tuaght me to do the same.

they always said i am responsible for my future, and i have acted accordingly.

you keep bringing up roads and such. I have agreed with you from the beginning of our conversation here. the things i want the gov for is a short list.

Roads, police, fire, military, Moon rovers etc, LIMITED reserved land for parks. I.E.: those things in which i cannot do on my own.

  • shimmy: Can you provide yourself medical care or operate on yourself? You just said, "the things i want the gov for is a short list.

..................those things in which i cannot do on my own."

  • shimmy: According to your own logic you are for a more dramatic gov't run insurance program than many on the left.

  • Deep: that last one was for senyah. forgot to preface it.

  • senya: go to an ER and say you are dying but have no health care. see what they do.they will treat you. they have to by law.they took a hypacratic oath. NO ONE IN THE USA IS DENIED MEDICAL TREATMENT -IT IS THE LAW

  • Does anyone understand shimmy's statement?

"go to an ER and say you are dying but have no health care"

Didn't you go to the ER for heathcare? or is it insurance you mean?

hypacratic oath? A phonetic disturbance I guess

Feels like I'm talking to Palin's Trigg

  • i guess what it all boils down to is this:

i do not want my mommy or my daddy to provide me a safety net in case i cannot meet the obligations i signed up for. nor do i expect or want the US gov to do that either. when i was a kid, it was nice to know they were there. But now I am a grown man. I made my bed; I will lie in it.

What does your bed look like

  • shimmy: Do your Mom & Dad use Medicare? You may never want a safety net but maybe your Mom & Dad do?

You may not expect the U.S. gov't to provide a safety net but when you drive one those roads or receive the benefit of the military you are receiving benefits of socialism.

Conservative radio only tells you that you did this all on your own. You did not. Neither did Rush, Beck or Hannity.

  • first; i do not know what a teat is. nor have i ever placed my lips on it. second; i am not (R). Third, if my boss was not willing to pay overtime, i would not work it. Fourth; i actually did get hurt at work once. the bureau of worker comp is a joke. did not use that. tried, but i nearly got carpal tunnel filling out paperwork. they made it so tough to get the (my) money i paid into it, i gave up and used savingstil i recovered .AND i still have my house.

  • How does Shep expect private health insurers to compete with a public option? For example Aetna paid their CEO Ronald A. Williams $40.2 Million in total compensation. The public option does not have a CEO to pay $40 million dollars to, the only way Aetna can compete would be to cut their CEO's salary, the poor guy only makes $3 million a month, how can he support his family on less than 40 million dollars a year?

  • yeah and our pres gets no salary. congress works for free. the head of USPS is a volunteer?

who are you to say what somoeone esle should make? tell me what you do and i will tell you your worth....

Is that the best you got?

  • Shimmy870 How much does the death insurance cartel pay you to spread their lies? does your conscious bother you knowing your trying to defeat a government option that will keep the 45,000 who die every year from dying.

  • shimmy870-

You know they say mothers breast milk from her tets is the best for intelligence.

From the MESS I see here, I would say you NEVER suckled.

    You have average Teabagger intelligence!

    Drink some Breast Milk!

  • downer:

i induldged in my mothers breast milk. just never puckered up to the gov teat is all.

and; i do not know who "they" are. Nor do I care what "they " say.

    never subscribed to "their" way.

    seeing is believing Joe.

    Show me

  • you just made my point. gov folk have the best available. whether it be healthcare or the prettiest buildings in town. they do not play by everyone elses rules. they have unlimited cash flow. they can get the best brightest for whatever they need.

they can do this because there is a few million gov employees (even less in upper gov) . us other 300 million saps pay for it. being rich means saying i don't care what it costs; and mean it. the gov is rich. I am not
