@AWickedMind, I too love this film! I saw this at the cinema then went and bought the Antonia Fraser book and just couldn't wait until the dvd release.
I for one loved Sofia's film. I know many who didn't, and I can see where they're coming from, but for me, it did what no one else has: showed us what her life was really like, from her perspective. It let us into the pretty bubble she lived in, all clothes and gambling and champagne, blissfully ignorant of the outside world. We were invited into her inner circle, everything considerately translated for us to modern speech, and set to fun, poppy music that suited the lifestyle so perfectly.
omg, this brilliant! I never even thought of putting the two together, but wow it works so well, good job!! Since the Tudors ended I have wished that Showtime would have a series about Marie Antoinette/the Versailles court, but I guess I'll just have to settle for their new show about some Italian noble family...
@Nicollie1062 It's called "The Borgias', one of it's notorious family members becoming Pope Alexander VI. I think its suppose to air in the Spring, and it will star Jeremy Irons.
They picked the wrong actress for Princesse Lamballe.she was a loyal ,courageous woman. To return to France at the end to be close to Marie is a great lesbian love story though I don't think Marie ever was. The princess hadone of the most shocking ends in history at least Marie died with dignity!
Very good job. If I were you, I would make a beautiful clip in Tudors Style with the excellent french movie « La Reine Margot » (aka « Queen Margot »), directed by Patrice Chéreau in 1994 ; starring : * Isabelle Adjani * Daniel Auteuil * Jean-Hugues Anglade * Vincent Pérez * Dominique Blanc * Pascal Greggory * Asia Argento * Miguel Bosé * Jean-Claude Brialy * Virna Lisi Thank you in advance and good luck.
Lovely combination^^ Though the "dark" music from Tudors won't fit to the light, playful Rococo, it is absolutely well done and it brings the two parts of history that I like the most together! :)
WOW! This is freakingly awesomely perfect! Very well edited! I too loved the film for its visuals but wish it had been a lot better...especially wished that it had gone beyond the arrest. Loved your video!
I am so glad that you used the opening sequence of my FAVORITE tv show and used it for this video! I love the Tudors opening sequence because of its flawless editing and the music is appropriate for the period while having some modern elements. You did an awesome job at this! Finally, someone who likes the Tudors! A lot of people don't like the show because of a few inaccuracies, but that doesn't matter to me. Well done!

French ripping off English again? LOL, just kidding, but nothing can compare to that theme being used in Tudors :)

“You think you know a story
But you only know how it ends
To get to the heart of the story
You have to go back to the beginning”
That could be said about so many tales in history. This combination suits perfectly the misconceptions about Marie Antoinette .
