It was to make the pit lane long enough to hold more garages, as there were more teams (11, I think) for 2006/7. But it's still going to be pretty crowded next year with all the new teams.

its nobodys fault. glock didnt pit for wets and thats the only reason he was a factor in the race for the championship. had he pitted for wets he wouldve came out behind massa and hamilton and had no bearing on the outcome anyway. toyotas decision was massas only chance to win the drivers championship

@Slashbag69 Well for one and I don't want to sound like a fanboy to Hamilton but Webber did take him out by hitting him from the rear which basicly destroyed Hamiltons rear suspension and got away with it without a penalty. Hamilton had an off season and the Red Bull's clearly had the better technology this season. Yet that could change next season, Red Bull were nothing a few years ago and Braun were allways winning.

If that's the one you're referring to, i personally disagree. It just looked like there were too many people going round the corner, Hamilton went on the outside, but was trying to stay too close to the apex, so Webber didn't really have anywhere to go by the time he realised he was close to him. yes and the reason the driver has to be flat out on this one, otherwise the car doesnt have enough downforce and that would be the thing to make you crash there, without enough downforce its easy to lose control coming down the blind turn raidillon which is actually where most crashes happens
