@elizarwen As "Little House" ends, a railroad magnate has acquired all of the land in Walnut Grove. People must move away or work for him almost like slaves. Everyone chooses to move but refuse to hand over the homes they have built; each family blows up its own buildings.

In this video, after Laura loses Almanzo she loses her mind. She gets rid of everyone she imagines to be keeping them apart, but he still doesn't return. Nothing left to live for, she blows up the house, herself inside.
