  • I know this man!

We have taken a couple of beers together.

    He is wery nice!

  • @kizz1965 omfg !!! tell him i need a guitar lesson!!haha

  • clean your guitar! hahaha

  • he is so goooodd

  • I would sacrifice one of my nuts to have this guy as a guitar teacher :)

  • I can`t stop listening to this song !

  • You can see the stains on his fretboard.... he must have spent hundreds of hours on it

  • This is one of the few shredder-type players that I can actually listen to, similar to Vinnie Moore. Because they know the value of good melodic lines....... unlike a lot of the random bullshit the young kids are playing these days.

  • @dance2noise002 finally someone who agrees. Im 17 and this is the stuff I listen to and write. Vinnie Moore, Tony MacAlpine, Rob Marcello, and Jason Becker

  • creo que no le aria daño quitarle la mugre a su guitarra del brazo

  • Not a fan of the pedal necessarily, but he is an amazing player. Can't believe I haven't heard of him until now. I would kill to have his guitar.

  • me encanta si bien no mete la re velocidad el chavon sabe meter bien las notas sabe tocar!!!

  • "young guitar" ?? i'm not taking that literally but how old is bobert?? just outa curiosity

  • @doncorleone36 34 this year, according to wikipedia. That might be wrong though.

  • he really has dirty guitars lol

  • haha i love this pedal and rob makes it sound like a beast lol. he prob gets better tone on this than like 90% of the people who use all tube setups

  • ...and it looks so easy!

  • Fuck justin bieber. People have no taste in music these days. Rob is one of the artists I respect very much.

  • I love it! There should be A LOT more Rob tabs on the net, but there's only Old School, and part of Insomnia -.-

  • Amazing

  • I always loved this guy,, WOW, I want guitar lessons from this guy !!!!!

  • Caparison

Looks like he also plays Suhr. Both very nice, 'top shelf' guitars fo sho. Not your average 'off the shelf 'Guitar Center variety.

  • dude go watch the video of him with neo classical shred in the title, where he is by himself on a stage with a red guitar I believe. It is one of the sickest things I have ever seen on a guitar. this guy might be one of the best EVER, I don't even know who he is.

  • damn so him and Andy Timmons were in Danger Danger?

  • what guitar is he playing?

  • @MrJayWeav a caparison!! :D

  • boss me25 ftw such a good pedal!

  • LOL i have the same boss pedal does it sound SO GOOD???Maybe I need a new amp xD

  • Its high time this guy puts out a solo instrumental album!!

  • @Islandsoundzz I agree,but who would listen to it.I mean you and i would,and fans

of this genre.A lot of artists feel nowadays "Why Bother!?"

  • Nice shred! great style.

  • i just cummed in pants haha

  • He is very good. sounds like a mix of Steve vail & Paul Gilbert!!!

  • what type of guitar is that??

  • @YerAnnoyingNeighbors Caparison

  • he looks like zulma lobato, nice shredding

  • Does anyone know what these pickups are?

  • @NeoMetalx I think rob uses the tone zone in the bridge and air norton in the neck

  • @mitosinuca Thank you!

  • @NeoMetalx their stock Caparison pups in this one. Dimarzio's don't have double hight adjustment screws

  • @tomroffey666 Thanks. I got 3 sets of BKPs now so it dosen't really matter :P

  • Why can't fans of overrated bands listen to guys like Marcello... I swear it would change everything.

  • This song is 95% Steve Vai emulation. Thankfully he left out the other 5%, which is comprised of gay hip movements and "toe dancing" (really can't think of a better way to put it).

Robert Marcello never ceases to amaze me with his flawless playing. It's a sin this guy isn't more popular.

  • @Pheezlewhompers I'M DYING IN LAUGHTER HERE AFTER READING YOUR COMMENT BWAHAHAHA SO EPIC

  • @Pheezlewhompers i dont see that much steve vai in it, maybe the main theme sounds a bit like steve but not much, and i dont think steve can play half of the stuff rob plays :D

  • @mitosinuca nah, you're wrong. he's not copying vai by a long way, but he is obviously HUGELY influenced by him. all that whammy bar control and the rolled off treble, high mids and neck pick up tone is vai all over. the scales and progressions are all vai. he's just ditched all the flamboyance and irrelevant nonsense from a vai performance and kept to the essentials of great technique, fluid passages and a nice feel for melody. definitely enjoyed this one

  • @mitosinuca Its heavily steve vai... actually some frases are kinda identical, check out for passion and warfare and fire garden to find the similarities, he´s not copying it directily thoug, it has a more heavy metal context

  • @MrAGG777 I don't hear vai 'cept at the end. Most of his melodies remind me of Vinny Moore

  • lol he should cut his string-ends

  • what is the name of this song ,,pLEASE

  • @thomykosta Im assuming the title of the song is Extraction. but idk for sure.

  • @GrimAffliction17 thanks

  • i love this guys style

  • super he is great

  • backing track and tab on this???

  • Ridiculously clean and effortless all the time.

  • at 3:53 what is that whammy technique and how do you do it?

  • @justinisasurfer

In Japan, that technique is called cricket. In English... sorry, I'm not sure.

The way to do that is reeeeeally simple.

Pick any note, and slap your whammy bar! that's all :D

Sorry for my bad English btw ;q

    I hope this helps.

  • @TaqueGP you mean the divebomb? or squel sound ??

  • Man where can I get his instrumental songs?? Theyre not from Marcello Vestry or Danger!!

  • Interesting patchwork-song... beside Vai I hear a lot of McAlpine in this mix of sounds and technique. Great riffs by the way!!!

  • Fuck man! this guy got some great chops. like a combo of some malmsteenish licks and ALOT! of vai ideas. good stuff.

  • disgusting fretboard!!=)

  • @zimbalist

just means he's played it a lot!

  • i have that t-shirt

  • There is Steve Vai influence all over the song. Very good stuff!!!

  • For some reason this reminds me of Megaman´s music.

  • Really, May 2010? Totally reminds me of the 80's

  • Mr.Robert Marcello is one of my top 5 favorite guitarists.the melodies he creates are really unique!!!!

  • That is one worn down fretboard!

  • Very nice playing man. Nice tones.

  • wow! the ending sounds well Steve Vai! wicked guitarist! danger danger forever!

  • yeah , man can he play with so much feel so impressed with his playing ability

  • 3:00 is such a heavy sound it is fucking awesome \m/ ^+^

  • I think the tone is already in his hands :D

  • just curious where'd you get this DVD?

  • God that lead tone is orgasmic good O_O! must get this issue.

  • @Overture2152 Robert Marcello makes also demos with the GT-8. I have one, and is just impossible for me to get the same tones he uses on the demos.

He have some kind of magic.

  • @yamitanomura yeah, he seriously has some sort of mystical voodoo goin on to get that tone haha.

  • @yamitanomura do u Plug the gt8 using the 4 cable method dude?

  • @reddracken 4 cable? I use one for the guitar and phones out to the PC.

I don't know what should I do with 4 cables.

  • @yamitanomura i have sent u a messege dude with a video of how to do it dude.

  • @reddracken Thanks man!

  • @yamitanomura You can get that tone when you play with headphones in it.

And that takes away the sound that you get in your room.

Because (believe it or not) when you have carpet on your ground it sounds alot better than when you have a metal floor.

So if you want to get closer to that tone you should probably get another room lol.

Or you can go crazy and with heavy metal tones turn the gain down a bit.

That trick also works with line 6 spider amplifiers.

So good luck with your mission of tone!!
