  • can anyone advise me on a beginners setup to buy. i haven't ever windsurfed properly before and would love to start windsurfing.

all ideas are a great help

    thankyou

  • don't get too expensive equiptment for your first tries. you don't need to get the latest set up, look for northsails and starboard, they got some good beginner stuff. if youre a beginner, a big board will be easier to handle for you than a 60-80 litres board^^, and the size of the sail depends on your weight, strength and the wind you gonna surf. have fun, hope i helped

  • 60-80 litres is F1 of boards.

One beginner its impossible to THINK in most of his crazy dreams to STANDING UP in these volumes.

So bigger boards are not .......EASIER ?????

    ARE........... MUST !!!!!!!!

  • depends of the weight of someone, u can use an 80 litres board as a common board if you weight like 60-70 kilogramms. but youre right bigger boards are easier for beginner. hope u got my point now^^

  • yeah your right, normally your weight +20 is a good volume. But for a beginner I think wheight +50 and a very wide board is better.

  • Any 130 litre freeride board with a light sail would do fine. I personally really like the jp x-cite ride in 120-130 litre with a northsail on it but straboard has some nice boards to

  • Get a starboard GO, I started with that board (133l) and its great to learn and make good progress. My weight is 50kg and I use a 6 meter tiki sail.
