  • OOh yes! I vibrate with you, Julie - well said!

"No fear, only joy, be your own Guru"

  • @lineanette :-) thanks!

  • We know that vegans can lead healthy lives, but can they reproduce for many generations? As far as we know, it never happened. The optimal diet of a human being is obviously going to keep him fertile, so if veganism can't do it, it's a really strong argument against it. No culture in history has ever done it, therefore veganism is an experimental diet, and certainly not something to praise for its longterm health benefits. Longterm also means having good results for generations.

  • @tranquil87 yeah, good points. to some degree, it may be experimental. to another degree, there are people who are vegan, healthy, and have offspring who have offspring who are very healthy. and when people are sick from certain foods like meat and dairy, most of the time, they quickly become healthy on fruits and veggies. i think we just need to stay present and open and keep observing :-)

  • @tranquil87 It never happened because veganism isn't a genetic trait. Asking me to prove veganism doesn't cause some bizarre genetic problem generations down the line is as silly as me asking you to prove that meat doesn't cause random miscarriages. Sure, anything's possible but I doubt it. I think what you're really saying is that you can't imagine life without meat and it scares you. Well then BOO! Vegans exist, sorry.

  • You started the video off by talking about how much we can learn from each person and then spent the bulk of the video diatribing about how Mercola is scamming people and contradicting himself and how Cousens is misleading people. If I was just going by your review and hadn't listened to them, it sounds like there wasn't anything to be gained from them. Any POSITIVE insights?

  • @passerby26 hey thanks for your thought.. i relate to certain people more than others. unfortunately i dont have time in the vids to share absolutely everything. with these people, i find they have a very devout following unwilling to look into the possibility that there are many contradictions, etc. so i chose to go into that. the main reason for responding is to encourage others to speak up and not fear their voice, even when a guru is the one speaking :-)... cont'd

  • @RawHealingPatch

There are a couple of other people I would've liked to have seen: Aajonus Vonderplanitz and Paul Chek. Chek, to me, is the one of the preeminent people on the planet in terms of understanding total health: mind, spirit, nutrition, corrective exercise, etc. I think the answer at the end of the day is: do what works for you and that might take some experimentation. Although I respect and understand veganism, I think some of the arguments for it are ill-founded.

  • @passerby26 pt 2... but yes, both of these people have contributed to getting people off refined foods, they support humane treatment of animals, etc. but for the purposes of the debate (which is where we can voice the things we do not agree with) i chose to point out more of the inconsistencies vs pat everyone on the back. nonetheless, i send both of these people all the love and success in the world and appreciate the energy they give :-)

  • @RawHealingPatch

I, too, would've liked to have seen more of a traditional debate, including the chance to rebut each other. Kevin's thinking was there he didn't want some heavyweight bout arguing, but if people can't talk calmly and rationally about health without losing their cool, they're not really qualified to talk. I personally found Daniel Vitalis to have the most compelling arguments. It's true Mercola pushes products, but I just sift through that anyway and read the info.

  • Sister, you kick ass!!! THanks!

  • @smr144 haha :-)

  • @toblastoff yes, just coconuts and fresh wild fruits and greens. this would be the best study ever and one of the most important ones ever known to health research!

  • This girl knows her stuff. I love it!

    She needs her own show.

  • GOOD POINTS , TY

  • @Rachna888 thanks so much for watchin!

  • Hi Julie- do you know where I can see the debate you are speaking of?

  • @kamalalovely go to thegreathealthdebate website and sign up there

  • Simply fabulous. I look forward to all your videos on the health debate. Actually I look forward to all your videos.

  • @VerveRuins thank you ;-)

  • Julie, you rock! Like in a wholefood way, not like a calcium lump fused with a protein isolate! ;-D

This "debate" Gianni has going on has opened my eyes some more. Even Cousens is completely sold out to Mammon... and Phobos.

Carnosine... like you say, if it is so necessary then why not eat meat?

Of course an argument can be made: the good without the bad of meat. Yet the studies are biased and missold: they avoid testing people who are already longterm optimal dieting i.e.very healthy

  • @danielskipp1 exactly :-) haha like in a wholefood way. i dig it.

  • @RawHealingPatch haha, I totally work at whole foods.. we debate these things all day, I love my job <3

  • @danielskipp1 Gianni and other "health Advocates" seem to be selling out to meat and dairy(humane, raw, organic grass fed bs)

Since Julie speaks about Intiution, I always had the intution about Dr Mercola, Paul Nielson and that Guy with ponytails, and other popular Advocates are only in the "health business" because of profits, they never believed in vegan diet they are just in the business because they knew could make money out of it.

Most of the them were never 100% vegan And Paul Nielson

  • @danielskipp1 and Paul Neilson has the audacity to say in his "confessional video" after confessing he is not 100% vegan that we "better start calling this 80% vegan or not true vegan" I was like speak for yourself you liar.

Before I DIGRESS, What is happening now is that the "meat addicted" masses are aware that vegan diet is healing and healthy, but they don't want to stop eating meat, Infact they are satisfied with the level of health they gain by going 80% vegan and 20%organic grass fed meat

  • @danielskipp1 Now all these "advocates" know that people will still get healthy by eating 20% grass fed meat and dairy, as the remaining 80% vegan diet is so powerful that it manages to heal them.

What happening is a new wave of "healers" who are "healing" corpse munching addicts, by being "open" to meat (thats Grass fed, etc, B.S.) they are taking the business away from these long established "health advocates and they are getting labelled extreme. So these people are selling out for the money.

  • @qwanraj

    I totally agree.

Let us not hurt our livers by resisting the reality of any of this BS. Julie is righteously pissed though, eh?

I myself am not vegan but I want to be close to it. I am working on being independent financially [ by what else but the nutrition biz?! ;-D ] so I can eat as I wish without poverty, pressure nor temptation.

I don't have any problem with surplus honey from very well-cared-for bees. I've read most of the vegan arguments: don't find them totally convincing.

  • Mercola has a cute name. Like Merc [as in chatty and cashlovin ;D ] + ola [ like the ola in Payola!]

He is the mainstream i.e.cooked meat eating, money hungry and bullshitting, of the alternative diet world.

The amazing thing is that Cousens can be so fear promoting while being so super fit, healthy and "spiritual". I guess it is the OT Biblelover in him! ;D

If you have any chi at all [i.e.you are not dead] you can be healthy and transmute whatever minerals and other nutrients you need.

  • wonderful, why aren't more people like you??

  • @divinelistener i guess because they are busy being perfect as they are :-) but thanks, thats sweet :-)

  • Good points! :)

  • @elfe1982 thanks :-)

  • Well said!

You should have your own show on T.V! :D

  • @rzarzarzarza84 ha.. i tried to get my own show on the oprah network, but that's okay. anonymity is a beautiful thing, too, so I can do my work in person with people connecting and healing in retreats,etc.. but maybe one day!

  • I hear you when you say 'its all about the bucks'... its sad when health information is distorted by business profit agendas... i agree we are not stupid and we will figure it out!! the raw food raw vegan movement has great potential but some aspects of it and some so-called raw 'gurus' and promoters do seem fishy... thanks for your insights!! :)

  • @MichaeLightify thanks for watchin :-) yeah, many of them have great points, and are great people. but we need to be cautious and get back to our nature.. we can think for ourselves! :-)

  • I greatly appreciate your thoughts and opinions on this... you bring up so many good points...

  • Enjoy your logical explanation of your position. While I can't ever imagine myself being a vegan, I believe strongly that a well planned vegan diet is extremely healthy.

  • @enjoythewildUSA "can't ever imagine myself being a vegan".... hmmm... generally the only thing that holds us back from a different reality is our imagination (or lack thereof) and belief we choose... i dont have an agenda to make you a vegan ( i promise) but juse some thoughts...anything can be done by anyone who chooses to just stay open and go with the flow :-) things change..

  • @RawHealingPatch Well Julie, if I keep watching you videos you may never know what happens. ; )

  • You're the funniest! Love it when you make these reaction vids.

  • @gabagne thanks for laughin! i do get serious, but all in all, i mean to be funny and goofy and help people just relax!

  • ahahahahhahaaaa! fantastic!

  • @tammyfana hahahahaah

  • The whole thing seems almost seems like a huge marketing scam, I listened to it for a while and it just seemed like they were blowing smoke up each others butts. But thats just my opinion :)

  • @MichellePelus3 yeah, take it with a grain of salt, stay grounded, and then keep doing what your gutt tells you is right :-)

  • your best video by far... your on to something... where can i catch that debate?

  • @RawFoodVeganSungazer the great health debate DOT COM :-)

  • Both Mercola and Cousens, among other gurus, creep me out.

  • and lol at "do you know the soil is deficient?" :)

  • @jengwebb gotta laugh...

  • that "debate" was a love-in. Doug Graham or Durianrider should have been invited to participate to represent 80/10/10.

  • @leafgrrl heck yes!

  • Lol! A-f'n-men!

  • @myroadhome hahahaha!
