Illuminate was the last album released before they departed with their farewell tour. I think that Leighton felt Lydia falling apart, and this song's lyrics reflect on how it did inevitably end up. It was somewhat of a 'one last kiss' song.
But this is just my opinion, Leighton writes his lyrics for Lydia's listeners to fit into the song and feel what is happening in their own lives.
Personally, I think this song's about a guy who's girlfriend is very sick. "Sick like this winter girl ..." and he finds out over the course of time that she doesn't have much to live. Maybe she doesn't have much time left. "One more day, just one more ..." and the guy's trying to keep his sanity, although it's very hard because the girl he loves is dying. "Don't you say that I've gone crazy."

But that's just what I think. I'm probably totally wrong. :'D
the song is talking about he meets a girl and they go out but because he s gone a lot, it doesnt end up working out, but still they try once more, but they then end up jus going seperate ways .. something along those liness i forgot x)
