wasnt dead on man , was a good cover , dont let LOURDE beat u down , hes probably a perfectionest, as am i , but all covers are nor gona b dead on and i didnt think it was bad enough to not attemt it, ,, thought u guys did a good job on a pretty hard song to cover dynamically, so dont sweat it bro, were fixin to cover it ourselves, go to white knuckle joyride on here and check out some of our stuff,,, rock on !!!!!
just to be clear - i am a singer and a pretty decent one. i can cover pretty much all of default's stuff but this one is also very hard for me to do well, so hence - we stopped playing it. i've since moved on from the cover band scene, but it's my opinion as someone who played in good cover bands for over 7 years that if the singer doesn't sound good, then nobody does....
and honestly, i don't mean to sound rude - just offering my opinion/advice.
from one singer to another though, this is out of your range. i know it's very difficult to get high-heavy parts in the chorus, but that's what makes the song and if you can't do it then you shouldn't cover the song...
it's kinda like doing an ac/dc song an octave lower.... sacriligous! haha
