Tel Aviv is amazing! The hotels are inches away from the water; the ocean is clear blue and warm as a tub! There is a mile long boardwalk full of restaurants and shops. Sometimes you can catch Israeli folk dancing in the middle of the boardwalk or a magician on the beach. Also, they have these huge, well-built workout/jungle gyms on the beach and tons of children are climbing all over it! Yes, I guess you can say it is like NYC, only more family-friendly and more beautiful! <3 LOVE ISRAEL <3

@redolence10 our economy is way better the measures of national income and output of Israel is 20,870$ in Jordan it is 2,480$ in Lebanon it is 6440$ in Iraq it is 1190$ and even in Saudi it is only 14,250$. And we are way more open minded we accept everyone, you can be in Israel whoever you want to be gay, Jewish Christian Muslim... everyone is accepted unlike in Saudi Arabia.

Even Palestinians are not "pure blooded" -- many are descended of Jews who converted to Islam, many are descended from Arabs who colonized Palestine after the 7th Century, some have a mix of European blood (due to the Crusader period), Turkish blood, etc. To talk of 'pure blood' is nonsense in general.
@ati832 Genetic research does show a near perfect link between European Jews and Palestians as well as with Kurds (who predate Arabs in the Levant and Mesopotamia). So despite 2,000 yrs of exile, Jews kept both a cultural, historic, national, and genetic link with the "Holy Land", much like Palestinian refugees retain a cultural and national link with Palestine even if they and their parents and grandparents were born in Syria or Lebanon or Iraq.
@ati832 Neither did they "take over" the land. Palestine never existed as an independent entity. Under the Turks, it wasn't even a province, but 3 separate 'Sanjaks'. The British, under the LoN, first had Palestine to include Jordan, then redrew the border. There were two competing nationalisms - Zionism and Arabism. The UN decided to partition what had been the British mandate, into 2 states - where Jews were a majority, it would be Israel, where Arabs the majority, Arab Palestine.
@ati832 So, do you except the legality of Pakistan? Or the right of Pakistan to exist? Pakistan was part of something called India and it was partitioned (by the British, not even the UN!). Pakistan only exists because Muslim armies invaded Hindu India, usurped lands, and gave their religion dominance. Now, I accept Pakistan as a country, I have no problems with it, but it seems to me that no one can think Israel is 'illegal' and at the same time think Pakistan (or Turkey) is legal.

@ati832 It actually wasn't given - the Muslim League demanded partition - many Indians opposed partition (as in Palestine). There was no Pakistan before 1947 so you can't say they lived along each other either. Muslims and Hindus of different ethnicities did live along each other, but we're just talking about different time periods - Islam was forced onto the subcontinent in the 8-15th centuries.

@ati832 If you want, perhaps, a better example of a country that, maybe you would agree shouldn't exist - Turkey. Anatolia was, before the 14th century, Greek and Armenian. The Turks came in from Central Asia and usurped those lands. In the 1920s, Turkey ethnically cleansed western Anatolia of its Greeks and eastern Anatolia of its Armenians. Unlike Jews to Palestine, Turks can claim no prior attatchment to Anatolia whatsoever. So why does no one hate Turkey like they do Israel?
@ati832 Pakistan was given, or created, to the Muslims, from the ruler of India - Great Britain. Palestine was not an independent, sovereign state, but a League of Nations Mandate under British Administration - and that was partitioned and some reserved for a Jewish State (where Jews were a majority). So it really is quite analogous.

@ati832 You may want to research this a bit more. The British issued the Balfour Declaration which said it favours the establishment of a Jewish National Home. The San Remo Conference and the LoN reaffirmed this. Some Palestinians were 'happy' to receive them (e.g. the Druze who are today patriotic Israelis), some didn't care, and many were understandably hostile. But...
@ati832 to say they "took over Palestine" isn't really accurate. Palestine wasn't a country, it was a territorial holding of Britain under League of Nations mandate. The Jews settled mostly apart from the Arabs (e.g. few Jews settled in the Galilee or in the West Bank or Gaza where most of the Arabs lived, preferring the coastal regions b/w Jerusalem and Tel Aviv). It was the League and the UN which decided to split Palestine into a Jewish and an Arab State.
@ati832 Apartheid would mean that a minority rules over a majority, against the will of the majority and denies them fundamental rights based on race. The partition was made, in fact, to avoid apartheid. That is why only areas where Jews formed a majority would become part of Israel. The post-1967 occupation of the West Bank and Gaza is a whole different topic, and one, I would probably agree with you more on (e.g. the evil of the settlements, checkpoints, etc.).

Tel Aviv is amazing! The hotels are inches away from the water; the ocean is clear blue and warm as a tub! There is a mile long boardwalk full of restaurants and shops. Sometimes you can catch Israeli folk dancing in the middle of the boardwalk or a magician on the beach. Also, they have these huge, well-built workout/jungle gyms on the beach and tons of children are climbing all over it! Yes, I guess you can say it is like NYC, only more family-friendly and more beautiful! <3 LOVE ISRAEL <3

Even Palestinians are not "pure blooded" -- many are descended of Jews who converted to Islam, many are descended from Arabs who colonized Palestine after the 7th Century, some have a mix of European blood (due to the Crusader period), Turkish blood, etc. To talk of 'pure blood' is nonsense in general.

@ati832 Genetic research does show a near perfect link between European Jews and Palestians as well as with Kurds (who predate Arabs in the Levant and Mesopotamia). So despite 2,000 yrs of exile, Jews kept both a cultural, historic, national, and genetic link with the "Holy Land", much like Palestinian refugees retain a cultural and national link with Palestine even if they and their parents and grandparents were born in Syria or Lebanon or Iraq.

@ati832 Neither did they "take over" the land. Palestine never existed as an independent entity. Under the Turks, it wasn't even a province, but 3 separate 'Sanjaks'. The British, under the LoN, first had Palestine to include Jordan, then redrew the border. There were two competing nationalisms - Zionism and Arabism. The UN decided to partition what had been the British mandate, into 2 states - where Jews were a majority, it would be Israel, where Arabs the majority, Arab Palestine.

@ati832 So, do you except the legality of Pakistan? Or the right of Pakistan to exist? Pakistan was part of something called India and it was partitioned (by the British, not even the UN!). Pakistan only exists because Muslim armies invaded Hindu India, usurped lands, and gave their religion dominance. Now, I accept Pakistan as a country, I have no problems with it, but it seems to me that no one can think Israel is 'illegal' and at the same time think Pakistan (or Turkey) is legal.

@ati832 It actually wasn't given - the Muslim League demanded partition - many Indians opposed partition (as in Palestine). There was no Pakistan before 1947 so you can't say they lived along each other either. Muslims and Hindus of different ethnicities did live along each other, but we're just talking about different time periods - Islam was forced onto the subcontinent in the 8-15th centuries.

@ati832 If you want, perhaps, a better example of a country that, maybe you would agree shouldn't exist - Turkey. Anatolia was, before the 14th century, Greek and Armenian. The Turks came in from Central Asia and usurped those lands. In the 1920s, Turkey ethnically cleansed western Anatolia of its Greeks and eastern Anatolia of its Armenians. Unlike Jews to Palestine, Turks can claim no prior attatchment to Anatolia whatsoever. So why does no one hate Turkey like they do Israel?

@ati832 Pakistan was given, or created, to the Muslims, from the ruler of India - Great Britain. Palestine was not an independent, sovereign state, but a League of Nations Mandate under British Administration - and that was partitioned and some reserved for a Jewish State (where Jews were a majority). So it really is quite analogous.

The San Remo Conference and the LoN reaffirmed this. Some Palestinians were 'happy' to receive them (e.g. the Druze who are today patriotic Israelis), some didn't care, and many were understandably hostile. But...

@ati832 to say they "took over Palestine" isn't really accurate. Palestine wasn't a country, it was a territorial holding of Britain under League of Nations mandate. The Jews settled mostly apart from the Arabs (e.g. few Jews settled in the Galilee or in the West Bank or Gaza where most of the Arabs lived, preferring the coastal regions b/w Jerusalem and Tel Aviv). It was the League and the UN which decided to split Palestine into a Jewish and an Arab State.

@ati832 Apartheid would mean that a minority rules over a majority, against the will of the majority and denies them fundamental rights based on race. The partition was made, in fact, to avoid apartheid. That is why only areas where Jews formed a majority would become part of Israel. The post-1967 occupation of the West Bank and Gaza is a whole different topic, and one, I would probably agree with you more on (e.g. the evil of the settlements, checkpoints, etc.).

@ati832 Again, I would repeat -- if Israel was just like the Nazis, one wouldn't expect to see a Palestinian on Israel's Supreme Court or Arabs represented in Parliament (there were, after all, no Jews sitting as Judges in German courts or in the Reichstag). Hey guys this vid looks awesome, I am planning to visit israel next year and one of my friends wants to come with our group but he is nervous, he is an atheist arab american but obviously has a muslim name. Will he get harassed/attacked in israel? I can't wait to go! There is no way palestine can even make 1/4 of this! Arabs have much more money in the oil states and still stuck in the 7th century.
