Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll. Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll.
The animals weren't psychedelic. They were rockers and bluesmen. See See Rider is blues from the 20s, House of the Rising Sun is an old blues/folk song brought over from England and modified, etc.
@Thruxomatic they were spychedelic with this new lineup of The Animals called Eric Burdon & the Animals.. they were very active in the spychedelic movement in San Francisco, the original Animals with Chandler, valentine and Price were blues but the Eric Burdon & The Animals were very spychedelic look for their records ans you'll see... my favorite is The Twain Shall Meet
@Thruxomatic yes they were in this new lineup of the Animals the original member is Eric and the drummer which started with the original Animals 2 moths before they slit and after 9 months Eric started this new lineup who was spychedelic.
House of the rising sun is a blues song modified and first performed by Bob Dylan, so Animals covered it and it was especialy this song which made them famous
@TheLovie999 The root is psyche, and a Google pulls up 1.49M hits for "psycho..." and 56.4M for psychedelic. From Wiki: The term psychedelic is derived from the Greek words ψυχή (psyche, "soul") and δηλοῦν (deloun, "to manifest"), When it comes to psychedelia, I'd rather it have soul than be psycho....
@Thruxomatic umm i think any type of spychedelic music evolved from blues and folk you fool and looking at this video of eric im pretty sure he was doing lsd if you ever even tried just look at them there on that acid trip love IT !!!!!!!
TheMost Incredible Thing About This Selection...When ERIC BURDON Walks On Stage ! The'll NEVER Be Another MONTERREY, The British...Have Attemped to do @ Knebworth, No Match to The Original Thing !
why do you all think it's a competition? It wasn't. And this song, especially. The Brian Jones Stones doing this, the later Stones were different. The Animals at Monterey was seminal.
@CLevis107 NOO, the Animals were not psychedelic at all, they were more pop-rock oriented, like the early beatles... The New Animals are the Acid/Psychedelic Rock band... The last one's my favourite but the original animals are quite good too!
@CookOfTheHouse actually The Animals became active in the spychedelic movement in San Francisco, nopt the original ones but when Eric started the new ban Eric Burdon & The Animals ( which is this band in Monterrey) Chas, Valentine, Price were not band members anymore... The original animals were blues but this nwe line up were spychedelic.... see their LP's from this time
definitivamente!!! estoy contigo!!!! .... de donde eres?... yo soy de Puerto Rico... y para Eric Burdon es un dios de la musica ayer hoy y siempre!!!!!!!!!
yes,! that violin solo is... wack!!!..imagine being tripping on LSD like many people in the audience there, listening to that solo!!!! I woul've been tripping hard.. definetely an LDS tripping upper....
Definetely every one has their own personal opinion. Im my case I preffer the Eric Burdon version,( this one and the one he sang with War) for me both are excellent versions!!!! better that the Stones one!!! but I do respect your opinion.. thanks for you comment!!!

What's kind of hat is that the guy on guitar with the beard is wearing? I remember seeing someone with one in the 70's but never knew what it was.

I believe this is the best thing anyone has ever done with a violin. Eric Burton really knew how to pick 'em out.
