That spider is one of the best vehicles on the planet. Did you see the mechanism which steers the legs? its even better than theo jansens mechanism (it doesnt need that much space)

Using available mechanical technology I would say he did a pretty good job. Sure it's completely analog but you have to appreciate the amount of work and creativity that went into it. I haven't seen many people make something of this caliber in their back yards.
