hey ive seen alot of videos about this dog and my dog's also a shepherd dog but he's kurdish,cant help to notice the similarities but whr is this breed originally from,were these too bred by the nomads?

@fuz5545 if u asked abour caucasian i'll tell u. caucasian dogs birth place is caucasian mountain ringe(Georgia). it is oldest dog. it was used to fight wolves and defend sheep. it has bravest hurt, and defends till death. after seeng that dog was good other caucasian countrys took them. but not only caucasian countrys also asian countrys and now they call it asian dog. caucasian dogs name was georgian dog but in ussr russia called it caucasian and nobody was against it becouse russia rulled.

Whole of Europe and Asia has these same type of ancient dogs.. A white Polish Tatra, Sarplaninac, Italian Maremma, Turkish Akbash, Kaukasus Ovcharka, Tibetan Mastiff etc some more predator agressive then others, some more tendencies to roam like the Great Pyrenees.

All from the mountain chains from Tibet to France these dogs come, been used since thousands of years to protect the family and sheep. Against wolves, thieves etc. Shephard dogs, the guardians.

I have a caucasian shepherd and an american Akita..both of them are males..i can assure you that the Akita is a very aggresive breed and i can't say I trust them..I always let my children play with my shepherd because he is very protective and loving!But they NEVER get close to my Akita..

@konnie1440 only if you want a guard dog, ovcharkas are sure cute but theyre probably the most aggressive dog ever bred ... pitbull's are naturally aggressive against other dogs, these are naturally aggressive against humans.. dont even consider unless you have a big fenced garden

No you make it look like an nme of humans. They are not more ' naturally agressive' against humans then a pitbull.

It is just a very sharp protector against ANYTHING considered a threat.

Wolves, stray dogs, burglars... but also your sons little friend can be considered a threat.

This dog is no fluffy toy, it has been a powerfull fearless guardian since thousands of years.

Which is a big pro in some cases, and a pain in the ass in other cases.
