  • I have seen a lot of standups, Conclusion: Ricky Gervais is number one. (And he has a lot of competition.)

  • I agree with Hyslop

  • One of my favorite British actors is still Peter Sellers... His move "The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Manchu" is still one of my fave movies! I really respect Ricky, tho, he's very smart & funny & most of all atheist!

  • One hour of Daniel Tosh, one hour of Ricky Gervais, time well spent.

  • GOD DAMMIT, I thought it said part 8 of 80.

  • @weerobbiet His names James Corden he played Smithy

  • I live in Bognor!

  • sounds mad but frogs do grab hold of fish and squeez them

  • Sometimes I don't understand what he's saying -_____- I hate to say this but I think I need English subtitles for an English show...

  • @rockstarrist It's called an encore >_>

  • @Thresholld Ah of course! How could I forget...I was always wondering why he did that, but how do you know when you've been called for an encore?

  • @Sabre809 basically, if the audience make enough noise for long enough they come back on :D

  • @Thresholld Oops! I think I missed an encore or two doing stand up ^^;;

  • @weerobbiet Billy is good but not the best imo even though I enjoy his stuff, and I think Jimmy Carr is fantastic but whatever opinions and all that ^^. Who wrote Gavin and Stacey? A great show indeed.

  • Written and Performed by

    Ricky Gervais (obviously)

    LAWL

  • I think you can sum up Ricky Gervais' humor in the credits when it says: Performed by Ricky Gervais (obviously) Just a perfectly witty comedian.

  • this guy and Lee Evans are the best comedians in the world!!!

  • @Demonyk1 Don't be a c*nt.

  • In the credits ; (obviously)...hehe he's the best

  • excellent! watched the whole lot, LMAO... thanks for sharing!

  • working class with a pond and a go-kart?

    still like him .

  • @kantfail Do you honestly think that comedians always tell actual stories that happened in their lives? Do you think they all had this wonderfully funny childhood, and all their friends are so hilarious? People don't pay to hear a precise biography from the comedian they want jokes and humour. Most of these stories are made up, or coloured up to sound more funny. And BTW you can just dig a hole and fill it with water in the garden so what's the problem with them having had a pond?

  • @itsnotfreedom Actually a pond is quite expensive, not insanly expensive, but you can't just dig a hole and fill it with water, you need the lining covering the lengh, depth and + a foot or two all around so you can put rocks or something on it to hold everything in place, it needs to be the proper material from a garden centre or it will just degrade, if you want fish in there you need a filter / pump or the water becomes stagnant, even the plants have needs.

  • @itsnotfreedom part of it is that they're able to find funny things in somewhat regular events

  • @kantfail Of course! It's all about priorities:)

  • working class with a pond?

  • i love the credits

written by : ricky Gervais (obviously)

  • For all the smack he talks, he really is a gentle soul. :)

  • @Demonyk1 I don't know if I'm the only American that understands it but it's fairly easy to do so...

  • @missedagain LMAO

  • EXCELLENT!!! THANX KIRIYAMA06

  • Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Ricky Gervais are my three favorite British comedians.

  • @tragicallyhip4ever if you like all them you should look up eddie izzard. he's halarious! the show dress to kill is like the best evar! :D

  • @madangryupsetmoose I think you are "halarious", my friend :)))

  • Watched all 8, thanks for taking the time to upload them!

  • I can hardly understand what he's sayin

But when I can extremely funny guy.

  • Written and preformed by Ricky Gervais(obviously)

    LMAO

  • @MainStreetMech not obviously, some comics have their material written by others

  • @WKaliberr Well if you watch the credits, it DOES say "Written and performed by RIcky Gervais (Obviously)" :P

So in this case at least, it is :d

  • @WKaliberr

Yeah but he was referencing a specific thing in the credits.

  • @DevilboyScooby to be fair, some credit has to go to Karl Pilkington because Ricky took a lot of Karl's observations and twisted them into a comedy routine

  • Right now, I'm seeing three responses...

Must be the weed, yeah :)

  • @Gyphia what, 6:12? Are we watching the same vid?

  • @Tarnaggy i think they meant 1:26.

  • Can someone explain the line he finished with? :- |

  • @niallswand he said to the kid with the go kart that he had a go kart too, then the window of the caravan opened and his mum said "don't lie".

  • @adfro7 Yeah, but how is that funny?

  • @niallswand because it was probably really embarassing? especially since it was his mum and that and since he did have one, before it got swapped for a wheelbarrow.

  • @niallswand I don't get it either. :(

  • His best stand up.

  • @Archigearour really? i think politics is the best one, then it probably goes animals and then fame

  • Man Ricky is the man! I meet this guy who has a accent just like Ricky and one of the first things he said to me was Ya having a laughed , I couldn't help but laugh and he didst know why haha .

Wirtten and performed by Ricky Gervais (Obviously)- Lol!

  • Oh, I forgot how much I loved Ricky Gervais' stand up!

  • love it,so funny, i do think you really need to understand a british sense of humor to enjoy this though .he's cute too.

  • yea he is cute :P

  • @moonwitch1981 nope german sense of humor works just well enough trust me ;)

  • @blackpajamas1 Sorry i didn't mean any offence,sorry again

  • I have a new favorite British Comic. Ricky Gervais.

  • @Justwatchin33837 Thank god you said his name at the end there, I thought you meant Derek Nimmo.

  • @Justwatchin33837

You say Gervais is your favorite British comic.

    He's number 2 for me.

You might want to see Eddie Izzard.

  • IT SAID "WRITTEN BY AND STARRING

    RICKY GERVAIS(obviously)" seriously read it

  • lol yeah thought that was really cool

"written and performed by ricky gervais (obviously)"

  • I have never seen anyone put a joke in the credits before. This man wins at life.

  • Monty Python did :)

  • Watch Airplane 1 and 2, as well as Hot Shots parts 1 and 2. They also do the credits jokes. Funny stuff.

  • Whats a jimmy jib?

  • a jimmy jib is a small "camera crane" or "jib arm" with a remote head, one person operates the jib and another operates the camera.

  • cheers for uploading all 8 of these in my opinion this is his funniets live set :)

  • Thank you very much for uploading this!

  • I still cant believe americans got his humour.

  • we're not all stupid... just 1/2 of us.

The other half keep the country running.

  • yeah, running into the pits of hell!

  • ha..you alien...

  • Seriously?

We all speak the same language.

    Intelligence doesn't discriminate by location.

  • no but humour is culturally specific isnt it

rickys stand up stuff isnt that subversive or edgy anyway

  • Not all humor is culturally specific. It's the comedian who makes it culturally specific. Ricky's comedy isn't things that only the English experience. Things he talks about are universal, like his childhood experiences, or fat people. That's why his Out of England version (which is exactly the same as Fame i think) was such a hit in America.

  • He added in a few bits, and all I noticed was he switched "bird" for "chick" and "guy" for "bloke".

  • lol he rips on americans most of the time

infact in some of his podcasts he says he hates it alot

  • haha, yes but we're just so easy to make fun of :P

  • good on you

  • are his podcasts as funny as this stuff ??

i was thinking about down loading some

  • Yes, yes they are!

  • his podcasts are better cuz u actually have karl and steve plus he's more spontaneous and way more funny

  • He uses jokes from the XFM series as well. Still good though.

  • Yea they are superb. Try the following channels anydns he is the god of Ricky stuff, but try people like telepop123 and dddp666 to get a format, and get used to the idea.

  • GTA? =D

  • Hahaha yeah!

  • lol

  • Mmm-hmmm! Haven't had raw chicken in ages. Tasy stuff, I gotta agree with you there. Hell, Ricky is even better than raw chicken. He's up there with the popcorn chicken

  • great upload Kiriyama06. Nice one!!! x

  • lol at credits

"written and preformed by Ricky Gervais (obviously)"

  • LolzZ!1!11!!!!1! @ teh end!

    Cast:

    written and preformed by:

    Ricky Gervais (obviously)

hes a freakin god of stand up, no questions asked. Probably my fav act was when he was havin a go @ fat people (in animals and fame) XD XD laughed my arse off watchin that.

  • its not pocket pull, its pocket pool - the kid has his hand in his pocket playing with himself

  • I think its "politics" but i don't remember which part.

  • i dont think he says pocket pull, i believe the exact words ricky used were 'furiously masturbating' lol.

and yes it was politics :D

  • awesome vids!

    thnx 4 uploading.

  • I like his obesity stand-up

  • Yeah! That was so funny... "It's not a disease.." HAhaha!

  • thanks for uploading this...it passed a slow afternoon!

  • in the credits it says "performed by ricky gervais (obviously)"

  • Lol oh yeah xD

    Hahaahaaha

    Gervais is genius xD

  • amazing, best standup ive ever seen :)

  • Great performer

  • Cheers for uploading this!

What I love about Gervais is how unrepetitive he is. I know he repeated the cannibal/porn joke (there's a sentence I never thought I'd say...), but he also told the Bognor holiday story on Room 101, but the way he told it here, and ever the content, was completely different. Most comics would have a set story that they can rattle off, but Ricky is much more original.

Anyways, thanks again, much appreciated :)

    .x.Sess.x.

  • thanks for uploading - great stuff!

  • Loved this standup, to be honest, i prefered it to politics (although politics is still awesome)
