  • i lone this stuff i can show of to my friends now

  • I'm a beginner, and I can play this on acoustic (without solo). You can use power chords instead of barre chords; which just makes it a lot easier.

  • Well if you got with the times you would know that they have been selling electric acoustics now

  • This is the most helpful tutorial I have ever seen on Youtube, and I have seen videos from iVideosong and yourguitarsage, but this is truly amazing for a beginner like me

Now all I need is callouses

  • Do you use a pleckdrum or your finger to pluck the strings?

  • campfire playable :D :D :D

  • I didn't understand anything i'm a beginnet a Bit easier pls!

  • did u c it might get loud by any chance

  • Good stuff, thanks !

Even more of a breakdown would be usefull tho, especially on the strumming.

  • @TheDjeff7 Thanks. I have a strumming tutorial for this, too. ;)

  • @TheDjeff7 hey does it need to be acoustic to do that sound? I brought a cheap electric guitar because i didnt wanna pay out loads just to give up learning the guitar. Do i need a pedal? Do i need to plug in my amp?

  • I was like, "yeah I can do this!"

The video starts and I'm like, "Oh hell naw. I'm not ready for this yet!"

I've saved the video to my guitar playlist. When I'm THERE, I will have this video.

    Thanks!

  • how can I reach the 10th fret from the 7th? my fingers are shorter then yours, and I can barely reach it. I always get this zooming or false sound.

  • @Izzie17 hey have you tried with your pinkie with your thumb slightly lower the middle of the neck (your thumb decides your range of finger movement. meaning where your thumb is width wise limits your finger movement.)

  • Dude this is great its helps me alot im just a begginner and this is great thanks

  • That's not simple at all for someone who is just learning how to play guitar.

  • i need 2 know how 2 play a certain romance please ?

  • hey guys does anyone know were i could learn how to play guitar

  • i think the easiest way to play this song is with power chords only. i still have trouble with this quick chord changes.

  • wow ur awesome

  • Good lesson, but just want to let you know there is an easier way to play the riff:

    A string- 7-7-10-7 then E string 10-8-7

  • nice. But the simple way i play in another way - D2-D5-D2-A5-A3-A2

  • wow ty, ty, ty for this post, btw im gonna sub to ya :)

  • Strummin pattern ??

  • honestly do you need a strumming pattern for this song?

  • @lamogand Nope...

idk wwhy i typed that :/

  • fuckin thank you man !! you made so damn simple !!!

  • Hey

ty for this instruction and you play realy good

What guitar is it ? DO you use an amp ?

i like the sound thats why i ask it ^^

  • It's a mahogany guitar by Fender. It has a really deep, mellow tone to it--much different than normal spruce tops. This is the main reason I bought it--I won't ever buy another guitar. Unless this one gets destroyed or something. (and no, there's no amp in this video)

  • @WonderLure42

Hey man what model is this ...

I went on the fender site and there was 100 of models

  • too fast for me too

  • lol?

  • Practice, practice, practice.

I play guitar for 7 months now and i leanred this in 4 minutes xD

  • thanks dudue really helped me

  • man thanks fantastic lesson

  • this could be way easier with bar chords

  • Whats the B Bar chord, i cant get it and i dont know which one it is

  • the 5th string major B barre chord is

    E|--2

    B|--4

    G|--4

    D|--4

    A|--2

    E|--x

(sorry if it doesnt come out right in the comment.)

  • Yeah, you're right dude ;)

  • Dude, that's dificult for some people, i i can do better more easlier for begginers, but anyway, nice cover ;)

  • is didnt say its difficult, its MORE difficult than the original, cuz its just sliding vom fret to fret :)

  • more difficult than the power chord version :D

  • Difficult this one? WTF

  • my first music played on the guitaR....thanks

  • Yeah, I have that video up--there's a 'part 2' to this one. :)

  • @WonderLure42 where is part 2??? :S

  • @beyondthesea96 Go to my page; search my vids for 'tutorial nation' and you'll see the strumming pattern tutorial.

  • @beyondthesea96 Go to my page; search my vids for 'tutorial nation' and you'll see the strumming pattern tutorial. It's also on this page as a Video Response.

  • he play the string, that simple... ;)

  • Dude that helped alot

  • AWESOME

  • what are the last two chords played 8 times each

  • wow - thanks for this vid!

  • wow thanks man

  • very nice, thanks

  • great tutorial!!!!!!! i still kind of felt weird when you were doing it and kind of flipped us off, and i know you have to do it for the song.

    great!! i can play now!

  • You could also do a lower partial that sounds a little better starting on the 5 fret low E string and then going down to 8th fret low E string, then back to your fifth fret then to your 3rd fret Low E string then to your first fret low e string then an open E. And you have a lower part that is easier for beginners. Thats how i first learned it

  • thanksss :P

  • what is the strum pattern for this song when you are playing the chords

  • Good question! Look at the video responses to this video--you'll see one of them is from me (it's the strumming pattern tutorial). Thanks for watching. :)

  • Nice, congrats

  • really nice!

  • Thanks mate, just one question: Whats b chord are you playing?

Your hand looks like a b-minor, but doenst really sound so. Can you give me the notation?

  • Thanks... That helped a lot.

  • My finger floats above the strings on that B power chord--yeah, it does look like a Bm though.

  • Thanks! ^_^ I loved the tip on hitting the bass string. Just started so this was a good crash course in a basic song.

  • Thank you !!!:) good job

  • ok....

i just saw the first comment,

that was my cousin not me

and i almost got the song

not this version though, found it harder than the normal ones

  • why dont u play it like it is suposed to be played.....

    how come G chord

  • Because this is an easier acoustic version for folks who'd like such a thing. I use a G chord because there's a G chord in the song (yes, the slide version).

  • slow the hell down!!!!!

  • A and G chords suck the most :p

A i can manage but G is rlly annoying..

anyhoww.. nice vid mate, rlly helped ^^

  • NICE joob :)

But I must practice acords :(

    Thank you :)

  • this i have to say has been the best tutorial iv ever seen, it help alot, 4 someone like me, that just likes to paly 4 fun, thanks alot! :)

  • I'm glad it helps. Check out the response video I made, too--it details the strumming pattern more than in this one.

  • Very good guide! Thanks :)

  • i love it!!!! thanks

  • not very help full if your teaching begginers you need to slow down

  • Thanks for making this, wouldn't have managed without it. :)

  • i cant .... ...

  • Try the video response I posted to this one (it goes into more depth on the strumming pattern).

  • dude thanks you so much i learned the main rith in like 10mins alot of pausing and playing lol but got in the end thank u soo much.... =] w00000000000000000t

  • thanks for this its really helped

  • Great--glad it helps.

  • hi i have learned all the cords i just have a problem with the strunning pattern it just does nt sound right .can u help me

  • Yes, I can help. In fact, I've gotten this question before, so I'll go ahead and make a strumming pattern tutorial. It will be up soon--probably within a day.

  • ok when i move from 7 to ten i have to oddly stretch my hand to hold the fret in the perfect place, or else it sounds awful and rubs against the metal piece, is this normal?

  • You could try to play it like Jack does--he doesn't stretch like I do; he just uses one finger and movies it to each fret (either his ring or middle finger). If you're just starting out on guitar, it might just be awkward and therefore create some buzz if you're not used to the quick movement. Do you know anyone who can play guitar or give it a look to tell for sure?

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you!! i can play seven nation army on the guitar now! :D i've been searching for tutorials for seven nation army everywhere but none of them helped but yours did! my friends were impressed when i played it haha :D again thank you!

  • Great! I'm glad you are able to use the video. The chord changes are a little quick, but it's nice to have an option to play it in open chords. Rock on.

  • Ben?

  • Nope.

  • The guitar has a very nice sound :D

  • Cool! :)

  • Thank you I know I'm a begginner and I have to learn the basics and try not to be cool and just whip out a few songs but this is awesome I thought how hard could it be?... You don't know how much happier you made one person you seriously rock dude you made me belive in my self I was starting to give up thanks so much!

  • Hey, that's great. I'm glad you found some use in this video! I have a couple other White Stripes tutorials up (and a ton of covers), so you might be able to use those, too. Keep rockin!

  • Detailed specs are listed on my profile page (it's a Fender, though).

  • is that a washburn?

  • haha that's what i have!

  • really cool. but it would be nice if you could go just a tad slower at the end and maybe post the chords.

  • Okay; I'll put the chords in the 'about' description.

  • Really cool....thanks, bro.

  • this is a cool thing if you wanna play it unplugged =)

check out my tutorial..according to you I should be the first user who made an easy one.

    Rock on! =)

  • you can also kind of play it on low E.

  • Thaaaanks!!:D

  • dude its coool but at the end could you play it more slowly plz

  • yeah, i dont really understand, tabs?

  • tabs are the way you read music on the bass and guitar. my 6th grade teacher is giving free bass & electric lessons if ur in his class or t3h other class.. i am learning both. ill post a vid of what i can do

  • awesome man!!

  • can you please give me the tabs?

  • Nice, original, and good quality. Thanks

  • during the sencond time around on the chorus, do you mean you lift up the middle finger on the C chord, mimicking the 3-4-2-1 transition to free up the G string, not the D?

  • No, the middle finger in a basic C chord is on the D string--the G string should be open already.

  • man ,good version,i like it more than original :))

  • A bit over the top, but I'll take the good comments when I can get them. Thanks. :-)

  • what is the chord being played at 2:21?

  • I move from a basic G to an A. The A I use here is a barred version of the basic A chord--just covering those three strings with one finger. I'm just playing the bass notes of the chord, so it's kind of a power A in that position instead of the traditional power A at 577XXX.

  • seems a little hard. but i'll try.

    thanx
