Without minimizing the struggle of " third world countries", I just would like to add, that there seems to be little contrast between what is happening in the soup kitchens and food banks in Canada. the line ups are incredible. and this is happening with 1st ,2nd and 3rd generation Canadians. I know what it is to go hungry for days on end or, eat only beans and bread day in and day out.

Politics, people, and population. we must find anotherway to take care of each other. thankyou

Good points. The same inequality and "f*ck you" attitude that is applied to poor countries is also applied to the poor in Canada and the US. We need less inequality--we forget how stilted the economy is due to help-the-rich tax policies. There is a poisonous attitude toward the unemployed in Canada. Very grim.More transparency would help tremendously!

The longer I live the more disgust I feel about being a citizen of a first world nation. I feel so much outrage when I think about the careless, sociopathic, and greed filled actions of the power brokers in control of ~95% of the wealth. I can only see a horrible future for all the impoverished around the world. The first world countries will certainly use them to break their fall. Capitalism induced genocides anyone?
