Section off a piece around the hairline/temple (this is where ppl naturally go white/grey first), bleach this section with powder bleach mixed with 40 vol peroxide. leave til pale, neautralise yellow tones with a lilac toner. keep ur bleached bit seperate and cover the roots with vaseline. dye the rest of ur hair permanent black/dark brown. keep the bleach section seperate when rinsing out the black dye (very very important!). dry, style. back comb, hair spray. you hav dave vanian hair!

Peter Lorre had a white streak in his hair in Hitchcocks first version of "The Man Who Knew Too Much." I believe it was also a minor horror movie convention of sorts at that time. Has anyone watched "the Black Cat" with Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff? I believe Karloff sported a similar look. On a seperate note, my hair is dark blue-green so was the shower.

This struck so many chords with me. I want that hair to be everywhere and it's a shame that Sweeny Todd didn't make that happen.
