Thought id answer some of the comments. The Audi is an MRC Tuning car with 860 BHP the Saab is my everyday road car running 300 BHP. It was never meant to be a race the aim is to go as quick as you can through the speed trap on the main runway. You basically set off in pairs down to the first corner then exit the bend and keep the throttle planted all the way down the runway to the timing beams.
Why did I try a run in the Saab? I wanted to see if it really could hit the rev limit in 5th. It did hitting 150 Mph. The start was deliberately slow partly because I didn’t want the stone chips from the Audis 4x4 system and partly because I needed to drive the 200 miles home and then to work the next day not have the clutch and gearbox replaced.
When both cars had the same kind of engine then the Audi wouldn't have been a match for the Saab 93. The Audi used in this video is of such a different configuration that the Saab 93 could never have matched it.
Why would you race these together, it's like putting a wolf and a limb in a fighting ring. I'm a big Swedish car fan and hold a massive respect for saabs but it didn't stand a chance against an RS6!!!
@TurbozRS I own a Saab 93 but even i have to disagree.... Audi is far better looking. Do agree with the performance difference though. I mean who would put these two together in a race? Especialy a standing start. :/ makes no sense.
if you cannot launch a car from the line it is hardly a drag race, i even drive faster to the next window at a macdrive ;)

At the start, I would have even went faster with my 130bhp Saab 900 II... wtf?
I got wide racing tires at least and I wouldn't use the clutch/motor rpm like a pussy.
If you don't have wide tires, then don't even bother about doing drag races!

The 9-3 is a turbo? I think even my non turbo accelerates faster.
I just not accelerate like a wussy. The engine is great.
Also check his tires... totally cheap. Modified as in put a bigger hole in the exhaust?
